There are two editions of this paper. One is always published in the US. The other moves from place to place. Today it's in Israel. I hope you like this paper. If you enjoy it, either subscribe, or check out the daily edition published in the US.

Europe

* Central Slovakia was captured by Poland. This battle harkens back to the days when the war module blew up regularly, launching accusations of admin bias, fervent signings of contracts demanding this and that, and absolutely rubbishy history trails. Long and short of it was that the war module supposedly allowed the battle to go on too long, giving the battle to Hungary, EDEN cried foul, the admins poked through the smoking rubble that they call a database, decided that the war module perhaps had a bit too much to drink today, and granted Poland the victory. The hero for Poland was Sadix. You all know who Sadix is at this point right? The hero for Hungary was the Russian prokey. You do the hokey prokey, and win a battle award.

* Poland attacked Western Slovakia, Hungary


The blitzkrieg battles in Slovakia were all repelled by Hungary, save the resistance war in Central Slovakia which was closed as a result of Poland winning the region. The resistance wars in Bratislava, Western Slovakia all failed, and the double whammy in Eastern Slovakia failed as well, defeated by the Hungarian trampoline brigade. The heroes for EDEN, from left to right on the map are: smif the Moldavian, Moras from Peru getting his first award (\o/), Manthess the Norwegian, and MrMonkey the Spaniard, getting his first award as well as searing my eyes out with his avatar. The heroes for Hungary, again from left to right are: the Iranian agha rahman, ScymeX the Serb, Benito_Camelas the Colombian, and the Austrian Olorum.


* Syddanmark was conquered by the Resistance Force in the war versus Hungary. Denmark, that glorious fortress of strength gets another region. Gabriel Lavanche, a Finn, gets a resistance hero award for starting the battle. The hero for EDEN was Romanian zzZZzz, sporting Ukrainian citizenship. The hero for Hungary was Michael Collins, PEACE Belgian, and a very active fellow lately. Hungary is going to have a hard time getting this region back, as it has no border with Syddanmark.


* Slavonia was secured by Croatia in the war versus Serbia. The hero for Croatia was home citizen ratrak. The hero for Serbia was also one of their own, Zrga, earning his first medal. Congrats!

Asia

* Indonesia attacked Southern Thailand, Malaysia. This region was the expected region to attack, as Southern Thailand is not a Malaysian core territory, and thus an attack would not activate Malaysia's many, many MPPs.


* The President of North Korea, habrvalery35, was impeached. Expected as he attacked a Russian core province, is a Russian friendly PTO president in a country with a 100% anti-Russian congress.


* North Korea attacked Kangwon, Russia. Now why do this? North Korea did not want to attack Russia in the first place. The reason is initiative. As long as North Korea keeps attacking Russia, Russia can not attack them, which is what Russia wants to do right now.


* Far Eastern Russia was secured by Russia in the war versus North Korea. The hero for Russia was hassan1, an Iranian getting his first award. The 'hero' for North Korea was heroina, a Serbian getting her first award as well. We can expect over the next few battles here, that many people will flock to these battles to get a relatively easy award.


* Hwangae was secured by Russia in the war versus the 'North Korean' resistance. The hero for the resistance was Romanian decisiv. The hero for Russia was Surfin, a Brazilian going for his first award.


* Eastern Thailand is being landswapped back to Thailand, half as a political statement about Malaysia's honor, half to deny Indonesia a region for the taking.


* Heilongjiang was secured by Hungary in the war versus the EDEN puppet resistance. Many Hello Kitty avatars were seen here, and the Hello Kitty hoard was beaten back by serious tanking. Heilongjiang is a medium grain, high iron region, given to Hungary back in world war three, and part of the biggest, most terrible land swap I have ever mapped. I think over twenty land swaps involving four countries were involved to trade this from Iran to Hungary. Hungary is expected to defend this with maximum force. The hero for EDEN was Croatian SubaSTi. The hero for Hungary was the world's #1 citizen, Euphonix.

Opened Training Wars

* Latvia and Lithuania are immune from the troubles of the world, and are making funny 'pew-pew' noises at each other in Samogitia.
