[UKGOV] Community, Ministries & Food

Day 1,478, 15:03 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by eUK Home Office

National Forums
The entirety of eRepublik is not contained within this somewhat daunting browser game. As you may have noticed, eRepublik does not really offer a means of communication that the entire population can use in-game, this is quite a stumbling block when you are trying to form a government for running the virtual country.
What we have to overcome this is a national forum, which you can find HERE, sign up and say HELLO!! 😃. On this forum we discuss many issues, such as what the next big war could be. You will also find the Country President's daily(ish) announcements on the forum, which will keep you up to date with how the country is going. Yet more advantages of being on the forum are that it is there where the most beneficial schemes are hosted, the Ministry of Finance offers many grants, such as Iron/Oil Companies for new players, Land Grants for players expanding their resource mining, Town Hall upgrades and also Bank of England Loans! The last two months, we have run a program call Call to Arms, which supplies tanks daily to players who post their profile link in the Call to Arms thread. This program is returning this month too, alongside a similar program to offer free food every day to those who request it, in the same way as Call to Arms!
All of the major political parties have private forums within the national forum, if you'd like access to the machinations of your party, and enjoy the forum community your party can offer, you can sign up HERE. On the subject of community, there is a vibrant community on the forum. Most of the older players remain on the game purely because of it, maybe you will too.. and its not exclusively eRepublik that the eUK Community plays. For example, a new eUK minecraft server is going up early next year, and we have an alliance on Supremacy lead by HRH King Woldy I. You can also have a lot of fun and sometimes win a few prizes by taking part in forum games!

IRC
Other than the forum, the primary method of communication used by eRepublik players is IRC (Internet Relay Chat). There is a link to mibbit and the national IRC channel on rizon.net, at the top of the national forums. For your convenience we shall provide a link just HERE. There is a guide on the forums on how to use IRC that you can read HERE too. There are lots of other channels than #eUK to join related to eRepublik and the eUK, and many of them are almost a requirement for being involved in government and party politics, as well as instrumental to the success of the military.
A few examples of public ministry and party channels you might like to join are:
Ministry of Home Affairs: #MoHA
Ministry of Defence: #MoD
UK Reform Party: #UKRP
The Unity Party: #TUP.Public
Every Single One: #ESO
UK Progression Party: #UKPP
People's Communist Party: #PCP

Ministry Work
Most players who get involved on the forums and on IRC find themselves helping out in the ministries at one point or another, a few of them work as the Minister, but most put into the country as Workers within the ministries. The two main ministries that seek workers are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs, they have each released an advert for workers. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs applications are published in an in-game article, HERE. The Ministry of Home Affairs applications are within a forum thread, HERE. If you'd like to help the government keep this eCountry great, then you can apply to work in its ministries.

Free Food
The Ministry of Home Affairs is running a scheme where anyone who comments on this article who is Level 26 or below and an eUK citizen, will recieve 200 health worth of food. So go ahead and request some free food right here!
Remember to subscribe to UK Today, so you don't miss out on news and guides. Each week of this CP term we will be offering free food to citizens Level 26 and below in an article, so if you're still eligible by the time each week's giveaway papers are published, feel free to request once again on the other articles! There will be articles without food giveaways attached, so please make sure to request on the right articles 😉
