Hello America!

This is your Chief of Staff speaking! It is my first term as a "secretary" in the eUS cabinet and I must admit it has been a great challenge to me. And not only to me, but also to the cabinet fellows as well. Most of us got promoted exactly in this very month after the interesting challenge Artela and Israel Stevens set to the eUS community a month ago. The results of their "experiment" were more than better - we got five candidates with not the same team everywhere, we got different platforms and a real battle in the end of the day .. for the second spot.

The purpose of the current article is to present to you how the brand new cabinet the eUSA have this month has been working for you, eAmerican! Most of the secretaries didn't have almost any prospect of "growing" a couple of months ago and today I can say that some of them have successfully sealed their place in the cabinet for the future.

So, America, what has each secretary done for you in the past three weeks, you'd ask. Here we go:

SECRETARY OF EDUCATION

The Department of Education deals with the new players. They are responsible for recruitment and mentoring. They achieve this via different programs:

(1) NASA aims at promoting the eUS society at non-erep forums. Check the article from yesterday in order to help our population grow! It just restarted yesterday, so we are looking forward to the results from the program!

(2) Welcoming Committee - they.. welcome new players. When you register, you are meant to receive a message from them introducing you to the eUS community.

(3) American University - This is the mentoring program that the DoE is offering. This is an international project which aims at helping DoEs all over the world to educate new players. However, our University is special! Why? Because we have a second curriculum as well \o/ If somebody likes the time in the AU, now they have the opportunity to sign up for a second class that will take them deeper into the world of game mechanics. Part of the program is to allow graduates to make an internship that will increase their awareness of what they can do in eRepublik!

(4) IRC Program - new players have an incentive to join IRC regularly and after answering to a simple question every day they are to receive awards \o/ After a request from the players, the DoE has been setting different questions in the topic. Furthermore, activity climbed by 20% 🙂

Arrden has been doing a great job. He has not only introduced a new program (MCP) and kept the current ones (BU2SU & MoW) but also successfully communicated his department's achievement with both the cabinet and the public. Let me reiterate on what the department is doing for you, America:

(1) Moving Cost Program (MCP) was designed to help eAmericans move across the country in times of numerous RWs. Last week we successfully RWed all regions we had bought back from Poland via the treaty glorious kitty Josh Frost signed a month ago and suddenly we had to start fighting for Poland in the regions from the East Coast. Getting our players out of that zone was crucial and MCP was there to assist us with that 🙂

(2) Build-Up To Strength-Up (BU2SU) is designed for new players. The program gives them an incentive to build up strength, while they don't fight and in this way. The program doesn't cost much and in the same time ensures that the eUS will have strong players in div2 and in div3 in a year time.

(3) Meels on Wheels (MoW) is a food-donating program where new players get the most if they get employed within a party, MU or the government, i.e. if they put society work, they receive more from MoW. The aim of the program is to integrate new players into the eUS meta-game.

SoE Arrden has been doing a great job so far and his publishing schedule has also been just awesome \ o /

Something very typical for the eUS society in the game is the eNational Public Radio. Each Friday at 18oo hours every eAmerican can tune in and listen to special live broadcasts where special guests call in and discuss current erepublik happenings!

The latest edition was the European show from 10oo o'clock (erepublik time) on Saturday as a significant (although minority) part of the cabinet actually live outside America.

Secretary of Homeland Security

This department is our pride from this fall, ladies and gentlemen. This department freed us from the 2-year-long PTO threat and put to an end their congress presence. For those of you who don't know, a person called Ajay (you will see his most recent profile commenting below) had organised a political movement that was supported by our archenemies in the game - Serbia, which sole purpose was to destroy the eUS government. He had success to some extent but in the end of the day America stayed together and victorious.

This month they are on the way to succeed in both of the department's aims - party president and congress elections. For Party President the ATO candidate had to win in the elections and he did. If he had failed there, the party would have gathered a lot of support and most probably succeed to qualify for congress elections, which would lead to another 100 Serbs being invited into the country. We cannot allow that to happen again.

The second victory is yet to come. Our goal is the dangerous party to stay out of the top5 at daychange 24-25 November. Things are looking good for us as there is a gap of almost 100 people.
