Blaze Of Glory: Engulfed by the flames of the Phoenix.

Day 757, 12:38 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

Marmara, The Aegean Coast, Western Australia, and Brussels.
General Updates.

A lot of fighting

Over the past few days, quite a few large battles have broken out. The Newly formed Phoenix alliance and the 'not so newly formed but still relatively recently formed' Eden have been bashing skulls, and several regions in particular have caught my eye.

Firstly, Western Australia. If you couldn't guess, this used to be a part of Australia. However, our Phoenix allies, Brazil attacked Western Australia from KwaZulu-Natal, a region in eSouth Africa. As Australia had joined Eden on the account of getting it's regions back, (whilst going through the progress of having them given back to them peacefully) Australia had MPP's with key Eden countries such as the USA, and Greece.

So with Brazil and it's allies determined to take Western Australia on one side, and Eden determined to defend Australia on the other, it was bound to be a significant battle. All day people were eager to wait for the outcome, and after the 24 hours had elapsed, Brazil Conquered Western Australia

Now whilst this was going on, closer to home we were busy fighting in Brussels. Having to have fight our way through Belgiums MPP's in Flanders previous to fighting in Brussels, both the Dutch and UK army were running low on steam. The battle for Flanders was close, with only a small amount of Damage either way potentially swaying the result, but in the end, we won. And promptly attacked Brussels...

Again, fighting alongside the Dutch, we won. It was simpler in Brussels, not much of a fight was put up as Belgium's owners, the US and Romanians were busy fighting their own battles, but at least we can sleep easy knowing we don't have a camp full of Romanians dressed up as Belgians living just next door.

"But why were they busy Mr W?" asked the confused two clicker. Well, a number of battles were opened during the day, that meant that Romania, Greece, and the USA, the 3 countries MPP'ed to belgium would be somewhat pre-occupied.

As previously mentioned Western Australia was under attack, but you may not have noticed Bulgaria, attacking Marmara in Romania, and Greece, going on the offensive on the Aegean Coast of Turkey. With these battles going on, and with bragging rights on the line, very few soldiers were spared to fight against our stalwart force who had already taken Flanders the previous day. (As a side note it's nice to see Eden attacking for once, so kudos to Greece)

What now? I hear you asking. Well it seems Poland has gotten a bit bored and has again attacked Germany, it's initial 3 attacks all being succesful, Poland now owns Brandenburg, Saxony, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

This conflict also explains why, after Denmark struck a region holding deal with Sweden, Sweden have since liberated the region they were holding, and swapped it for one with an easier name. Midtjylland has been RW'ed to prevent us from Blocking a Swedish attack on Germany. Blocking being something we've been doing a lot lately, basically means that due to game mechanics we'd prevent them from attacking by both assualting one of their regions, and RW'ing one of their regions (As you cannot start an attack if you are already under attack, and you can't retreat regions when there is a RW active in them).

For now the attacks have subsided, but you would have thought by now that Poland would realise that they never occupy Germany for very long before they get booted out, as has happened on both previous occasions when Poland has attacked them. The main difference this time, is that Poland won't be getting very far into Germany.

General Cabinet Updates

Our first cabinet meeting of the term is due to take place very soon, and if you haven't managed to catch current plans from the MoHA on whats going on, you can read up on the events they are holding, here. I highly advise subscribing to this paper, just so you know whats going on every once in a while.

The gifting hub has also been fund raising to help out all the people who have, in wartime, fallen below 40 wellness. The trick to wellness is simple, if it's low, fight once and use your regions hospital (preferably move to London where there is a Q5 - which will heal 50 wellness) and do not fight again until the next day. Once you are at maximum wellness, you can afford tofight 5 times, and fully replenish the wellness you lose fighting at the Q5 hospital. (If you haven't moved, go to your region page to check out the Q of your hospital. Q3 will heal you 30, Q5 50, if you don't have a hospital in your region, that's our way of hinting you to mvoe house)

However, you do need to fight in order to use the hospital, and you cannot do so if you have under 40 wellness. This is where schemes such as the gifting hub comes in, or the PCP communes, to help you raise your wellness to the level where you can use the hospital.

t' USA

I was on the US forums yesterday,

they like me, they really like me

But that's completely besides the point. If you're at all wondering what they've been up to over in East Asia, as I'm sure by now you've heard something about it, here's a quick 101 of the situation over there, accompanied with a few shiny pictures.

First of all, those of you who are in to topography will immediatly realise this is a map of China and it's immediate surroundings. For the colourblind, there's a big blue streak right across the middle of China, representing American owned regions. For those with top notch vision, thos little blue spot where Korea is, aren't American owned regions, they just share a colour.

I think before I tell you what they're doing, I ought to fill you in on how they got there. You may remember a number of days ago Phoenix succesfully defended Kyushu from the maruading Americans, who had said if the region wasn't given to them, they would take it (nothing personal). Shortly after saving the region, Phoenix were given an ultimatum from the Japanese president in the highest sign of gratitude; to negotiate the release of Phoenix occupied Chinese regions, or else he will surrender Kyushu to the USA and allow them passage into China (China had already agreed to faciliate the use of their regions buy the USA in order to go around liberating things).

Needless to say, people were slightly surprised by this, but people are also rather fond of the high resource regions that they'd worked hard to get and rightfully keep, so no move was made to hand them over, without a fight.

The quick among you would have realised that China's blue moustache is a result of the Japanese president allowing the USA passage into China. Now, the USA are heading over to those high Iron regions, notably Karnatake, the southernmost purple region, currently owned by Indonesia. It's likely too, that they'll try to release some of those bright green Hungarian regions too.

Although the USA have not been promised a reward, they look forward to discussing the rental of a high Iron region, should the succesfully liberate China's occupied regions.
