Another Month of Wold

‘Allo chaps, you would have noticed the War Module has changed and a quick guide on how to come to grips with these changes has been published in the Home Office Newspaper, it is also imperative that you are subscribed to the MoD orders in order to see where our damage is best spent.

You will have noticed our short excursion into Belgium in order to place ourselves in a strategically beneficial position. As the war module was temporarily disabled, Belgium was able to get some strong MPP’s. Due to wavering support and international developments creating a revived faith in MPP’s alone, we will be seeking an end to this conflict in the short future.

For regular announcements and discussions you should swing by the forums, as Kumnaa suggests and get involved with the eUK’s vibrant community.

Earlier in the week you may have read my announcements article where I declared that I intend to run again for Country President. My motives for doing so are simple; we have made progress, but I don’t feel as though my work is quite done yet. I would also like to thank the BDP, PCP, UKRP and TUP for offering their ingame support for this election, it is highly appreciated.

This manifesto is slightly different, as we are rolling into another month I decided that rather then reciprocating what I said last month, I would build around it and tackle any criticisms people have given of yours truly.

Therefore, I offer you some essential reading;
The Domestic & Economic Manifesto
The Military & FA Manifesto
Upon these, the foundations of Woldacracy, we can develop policies for the up and coming month.

Domestics & Economnomics

We have done rather well on the domestic front this month, as you can see in the Domestic manifesto at the beginning of this term things weren’t necessarily looking up. The eUK census was again passed around and the results displayed a startling improvement.

For example, when asked if the messages sent by the MoHA were helpful, at the end of the previous term, 50% of you said no. When asked towards the end of this term, over 76% of
you said yes.

Yes.

Features mentioned in my domestic manifesto, such as the census and domestic orders will continue; I don’t want to waste these pixels going over what I have already outlined at the beginning of this tenure. Instead, I shall address some criticisms and improvements, so that this article, when read in conjunction with my previous manifestos will offer a plan of what you can expect over the next month.

One thing people have suggested I do is improve on communication. In order to do this, I shall integrate into the Ministry of Home affairs a cabinet secretary, who will gather reports from ministers, and important updates from myself. These will then be published in the Home Office paper’s ‘UK Today’ domestic orders, and in the announcements section of the forum.

Not only that, but other forms of communication will be created. A Congressional Q&A session will be held by the speaker on IRC, and I shall also aim to create an informative and entertaining podcast to keep avid listeners in the know without boring them too much.

FUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUNFUN

A larger focus will be put on entertainment, with a second week long festival of competitive gaming, forum lunacy and cash prices to accompany Monarch week will be created, as well as 2 or 3 games that will be set up to run continuously throughout the month. The wiki needs to be tackled, hopefully we can see a joint effort from the MoHA and Congress will allow us to keep an up-to-date and informative wiki.

Cash wise, we’re doing reasonably well. Economically, little has changed - so it’s a case of waiting for markets to stabilise and carefully regulating the MM.

Military and Foreign Affairs

Foreign Affairs wise, my manifesto speaks of cementing relations with our European allies, something we began doing very early on this term - signing the Strasbourg Treaty with France and Germany. We’ve maintained and built upon our good relations with the Netherlands and Portugal, the latter of which is now a member of Terra.

This following month we’ll be focusing on maintaining our good relations outside of Terra whilst building the bonds withing the alliance. Some countries, such as Brazil and Argentina are old friends from Phoenix, whilst some like Canada are newly acquainted chums with whom we share many common opinions and goals.

It may also be worth assessing our relations with a handful of EDEN countries, in light of the expanding co-operation between both EDEN and Terra. This will not however, include Ireland and will not take a paramount position withing the wider scope of our established relationships.

On the military front, two key things to focus on will be an increase in both funding and recruitment. MPP’s are cheaper, so no doubt we can pick up a few more of those as of when we need them - the cash we save can also be channeled into our military, whose number one goal should always be to deal as much damage as possible, despite expense.

That and to have a laugh.

Wars are fun, and good for the economy, so to expand on the ‘having fun’ promise of last months manifesto, I’d like to say that, Wars with Ireland are fun, and good for the economy. Our two countries have proved great play mates, and to be fair to them they don’t whine half as much as some of the other people we’ve attacked in the past. Upon re-election my soul goal will be to war the Irish. This is not only a response to popular demand in the eUK, but also to unwarranted irish aggression towards our sovereign regions.

Plus it’s what we really want.
