Welcome to this, part ⅘ of the ‘Vote Woldy and become Awesome’ series, the Military and Foreign Affairs manifesto. Were I hope to carry on the theme of having fun that was somewhat prominent in my previous manifesto on domestic and economic policies.

On a side note, I’d like to big up yesterday’s revolutionaries ~ the events that unfolded were pretty exciting, and I was glad to be a somewhat vocal support of the eLiberalism that was pouring out of every eCountry. I also hope that any banned CP’s or statesmen get unbanned asap.

Now back on track.

As is often the case, it can be hard to get some real fun out of the military module, you have to wait for a viable time to do anything, and even then people may not find it particularly interesting. That said, I’ve done a pretty good job of spurring people’s interests in the past; with some of our favourite playmates, the USA, Ireland, Norway & Sweden, and even Belgium.

And there’s little I enjoy more than seeing the fun on people’s faces when they realise what devilish antics I’ve pulled off for them. (Disclaimer: I can’t see you from the bushes.) And, by jove I intend to pull some more off should you elect me on the 5th.

The old brainbox has been working to come up with a few ideas over what we could do over the next month, and we have a fair few options. The poll at the foot of my previous article eludes to some of these, but for now let’s just say we have lots of borders and places we can turn to for our own excitement.

These past few days have been a tad hectic on the Foreign Affairs front, and it is my foreign policy and military intentions that this article shall henceforth discuss.

Union Flag

Foreign Affairs

The eUK has embarked on a somewhat turbulent time when it comes to Foreign Affairs, PanAm, the alliance we entered only recently is enduring a rough patch which sheds some questions over the eUK’s future on the international scene.

My main focus this month will be to cement our good relationship with European countries such as France, Germany and those who are non-aligned to make way for a greater level of euro-cooperation. With alliances becoming either loose structures or fragile shells, the eUK needs to seek secure relations with it’s friends and seek to secure it’s borders. Not to mention the increasing of economic and military cooperation in the eurozone.

To these ends, as I have said, we will open a dialogue with a handful of friendly or non-aligned European countries, but also maintain a good dialogue with Canada, the USA and our older PanAm friends, Brazil and Argentina. Allowing us to not only seek fun in an easterly direction, but to offer some clout when we do so.

We will of course maintain our good relations with Serbia, and continue to honour our rental agreement which boosts their economy and brings us an increase in income. As they also provide a stalwart defence, Serbian relations will always be important to the eUK.

Resource wise, we can look into region swaps with neighbouring countries to acquire that which we do not already have. However, if there are any countries who are ambivalent towards swapping regions, and who we are big enough to boss about, the eUK could consider taking some regions, providing we don’t annoy too many people, armed conflict and expansion is a viable option.

If there are occasions when engaging in our own war is difficult, or if our armed forces are needed elsewhere, we can of course fight via MPP’s, or arrange training wars. Using the booster that ‘Natural Enemy’ provides training wars are again becoming common place and the eUK, if not engaged in actual warfare shouldn’t hesitate in giving everyone the opportunity to rank up.

Time for some fun

Our Military is one of the funnest aspects of the eUK, and it has a thriving community of which I am proud to be a part of. As the eUK’s population is rising, we must increase recruitment - especially as the army is a key retention tool. Picking up new players and integrating them into army life is a great way of increasing both our community and our damage output.

The actual running of the army is done very well; Artela is a great MoD and the command staff run things like a well oiled machine. One possible area for improvement I have identified is strikes. I feel as though we need to attempt to bring back the ‘fight at last log in’ culture that was prominent in V1, in order to hit in any battles or mini-battles that are of striking importance. (Pun) Soldiers will also be requested to vote & anti-troll on all MoD and Government articles.

(stuff about attacking foreigners here)

Yes, I have been harping on about having a giggle for, oh about a week now. Mainly because I feel that when we can’t laugh at BCH’s antics we need something to keep us occupied with. Since I was last CP, wars and battles have been made free. This, much to the delight of Thatcher.

So, I hope to get some expense free wars going, providing a window of opportunity (no matter how small) and a target (again: no matter how small) appear. By doing so, I hope to have a right ruddy royal great laugh and I hope that you will join me. I can’t promise much, after all we might get invaded tomorrow. But, I shall do my best to get us into something genuinely exciting.

And that's that. Short but sweet, and with much potential. My next article will be outlining my cabinet and will be released on election day itself; the 5th.

Thanks for reading.
