The Federalist Press [day 2212]

Day 2,212, 09:22 Published in USA USA by Trekker Tlumac

Hello feds and friends. It is I, Trekker Tlumac. A new week has come upon us and funnily enough the eWorld and the RL have yet to cease revolving. Instead, it provided us with yet another week of events. Some of it is even noteworthy. So this is that of which I would like to share with you:

State of the Fed

1)
Party President Elections are just a few days away. PP nominations are up until the evening of the 10th (eDay  2211) So only a limited time to nominate, if it has not already passed by the time you read this. If it has passed, have no fear; there is still time to ask the PP candidates questions. So get involved in the process, even if it is only asking about toothpaste preference, ask something.

State of the Country

1)
NewAzazel has won re-election with 45% of all votes cast and is several days into his second consecutive term.  At the commencement of the second term he released a brief article addressing the intentions of the second term. This included statements about moving forward with domestic and foreign affairs, as well listing the few cabinet changes made for this term. The link below will bring readers to the article, for those who wish to read the President’s address firsthand.

2)
Our states are all back under our country and the peace has continued, much as it was as last week. With things calmed down the time has come to take actions to benefit the future of eUSA. What can be done in the intermediary to strengthen our country? There are a number of opinions on this. Some suggest MPP hoarding and other encourage mass NAP’s with the countries that pose the biggest threats. These are both viable options, but they come with serious downsides.

There is a lot of literature out there as to speculation on the weaknesses and strengths of these approaches. To educate on such matters is not the primary concern of this paper.  It would take far too long to articulate the arguments in a limited space to do such matters justice, while staying true to the purpose of this paper. It is encouraged that all readers to search out such articles on eWorld politics and eCountry relations and then to establish meaningful dialogue with one another over it.

A single point can best hit upon it though:
Public relations with other eCountries are what currently limit the eUSA’s prospects for moving forward.

This may seem silly to some and huge to others. In truth, it is both. In a world where the political climate is ever evolving things change quickly. This is both helpful and hindrance. It dampens the eUSA’s ability to move forward after the latest war. The world around us is changing again and many things are up in the air. Where it ends up is something that we have the ability to control.

Through a sustained effort to improve public relations with other countries the eUSA can begin to forge and reforge connections, friendships and alliances that will guide the way to the future. This is already in progress.

Over the past week, the president of eIreland, Bhane, has launch an article campaign to explain to the citizens of that country about a proposal for the eUSA to rent two of their territories to boost our bonuses.

There was some disgruntled voices among the eIrish, but they seem to be the overly vocal minority and the vote passed the general populace. And according to the articles, Bhane plans to move forward on finalizing the wording on the rental agreement.

Once the rental agreement is finalized (as it seems likely given eIrish interest) there will be a short time for us to collect a few more TP points. Of course this is only being if and when our two governments can come to such an agreement. And all fighting would be only long enough to get the rentals. And maintaining control over the territories.

Having these two territories would allow for the eUSA attain higher production bonuses. Higher bonuses mean more GNP within the country, which means greater potential for income all around. And renting the territories instead of taking them by force (or at least trying to) will strengthen country social standing in the eWorld as a country willing to be diplomatic. The longer these agreements stay in place, the more it looks like the eUSA is a country that is going to keep true to its word and remain stable. Long term stability can only help. An all-around win, really.

As stated Bhane has been very vocal in asking the eIrish about the idea of rentals, these are the articles he posted recently about the proposal, vote and results; in that respective order:

Fed Abroad.

The eWorld is a big one and often strange one compared to the relative known of eUSA. Some have even spent time abroad to be closer to foreign friends and learn of their ways. Bucephalus92 is one such traveler. As a politically minded writer, he wanted to learn more about the foreign ways of government and the players within those systems. All government in the eWorld works off of the same game mechanics, but the ways these mechanics are enforced and general nuances of the eCountries can vary even more greatly than the parties of eUSA. He was Fed, but had to give up that party distinction to gain citizenship in another country. The first stop on his journey is the country of eNetherlands.

His first order of business was messaging several of the party presidents and asking a few questions about their parties, policies and mottos. He got a number of responses and wrote an article detailing them. Among the parties that responded were the bilderberg groep that has roots in ATO efforts and now speaks of uniting the parties of eNetherlands for better multi-partisanship function;  and the Libertas party sports the slogan “we don't wear pants we wear bikinis and speedos.”

State of the world

There is not a lot new in the past week on the world stage that will affect us here at home. There is a new Empire, Hungary having joined Serbia for that title this week. According to the new ranking system, the next highest ranked country has just over half the power of either of the two Empires. The game mechanics are still working out and the power struggle is still in flow. It will likely be another month or so before we clearly see how the changes fully settle out.
Currently the eUSA is ranked in the top fifteen for ranking, but there is significant work to be done to become an Empire. Without compromising morals and a heavy influx of new (and strong) citizens, the climb to glory shall be a long and steady slope. Not the vertical climb that many would wish to have.
More updates will be provided as things change.

Well that is all for this week. May the rest of the week bring you days of peace. Still accepting questions and participation of all manner. So feel free to ask questions or write in. We will try to respond to every respectful question concern or gaffe.

Stay Proud and Horny

-Trekker
