Applicants should be active readers of newspapers (domestic and foreign), Forums (Military and eUS), and active on IRC.
Must have great communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to use online translation programs.
RL experience and/or education in Media Arts is a plus but not required; raw talent is mandatory, skill can be developed.
Looking especially for someone skilled with video production, website management
"People skills" are required for effective Interviews; natural ability is mandatory, skill can be developed.
Game experience in news article writing is preferred but not mandatory; ownership of your own paper is allowed.

::3:: USArmy T.E.A.M. Project; Part I

General of the Army NXNW has initiated a new internal program designed to increase cameraderie between USArmy personnel.
Directly quoting from our daily Orders post:
In an attempt at forging a stronger, more efficient, tighter knit fighting force, we are announcing the start of PROJECT: T.E.A.M. (Tactical Education and Army Morale program).

The first part of this project will entail "friending" a different soldier in the army every single day to help build stronger relationships and communications between soldiers. The soldier to be added as a friend will be listed on daily orders, and a comprehensive list will be posted here (in case you need to catch up on a missed day or two).

The reasons for this first step are simple, while it is the institution (the eUS Army) that most of you signed up, it is the bond with your fellow soldiers that likely keeps you around. The strongest element in the eUS Army is the connection among us soldiers that I would like to see strengthened. Because of this, friend requests go a long way to show how many of us there really are (to each other) and in addition, provide a valuable and important communication link between us all (shouts will be seen by most of the USArmy and you will have a long list of fellow soldiers to PM with questions, concerns, jokes, whatever...)

All USArmy personnel are strongly encouraged to participate in the USArmy T.E.A.M. Project.
This is only Part I and it only gets better from here! We look forward to the next phase of the USArmy T.E.A.M. Project.
We are not just soldiers, we are USArmy-- we are one in body and spirit!

::4:: Special Recognition Program

The Army Public Affairs Office has received a number of unsolicited Donations of Houses, Q5 Weapons and Gold from patriotic players.
We have, in turn, awarded these items to USArmy soldiers who have performed above and beyond the call of duty.
At this time we are determining whether or not to make public the names of contributors and recipients. If so, an article will be developed to give public recognition to these Civilians who have recognized the USArmy's potential and have added to it through their generous contributions, and also give public recognition to the individual Soldiers who have been rewarded for their outstanding performance.
I am leaning toward the idea of anonymity, though, because this is not intended to become a competition of any sort.
Rather, this is an act of of Patriotism which transcends personal ego, it is America supporting America because it's the right thing to do.

This Office has to date awarded one Q2 House, two Q1 Houses, dozens of Q3 and Q5 weapons, and five Gold.
The Houses went to recent RECBN graduates upon recommendation of their Drill Instructors and Company Commander for their exemplary performance while in training, to give them that small boost of ability in daily function.
The Weapons and Gold went to top strength Field Marshalls, to add to their ability to deliver damage upon our enemies on the battlefield.

This Office is currently in posession of two Q1 Houses.
We have 18 slots open for Donations, if you happen to have outgrown your House and are purchasing a new larger one, or are ahead on Gold or Guns.
We have some excellent candidates for receiving such goods:
Not only is RECBN is putting out top quality soldiers, many of our experienced soldiers are above top quality and deserving of a House.
The USArmy does not get added funding for tanking, we handle that internally and this Office is proud to help out when we can.
