Day 2,291, 10:08 Published in USA USA by Trekker Tlumac

Greetings Feds and Friends! The Fed Media department would like to welcome to another edition of the Federalist Press. We hope your week has been good. Enjoy the following paper, as we have enjoyed writing it for you.

On a side note I (Trekker) would like to say a few words: squelch, endosperm, waka waka waka, and spongy. That is all.

Enjoy the paper.

State of the Fed

Well congressional Elections were a couple days ago. The Fed party led the way with 31.66% of the vote. That give the party a total of 18 seats in congress.

Those members are: Trekker Tlumac, Talio Extremist, Molly Emma, Mourning Star, IndexInfinity, WookyJack, stephen s, sle7en, SenoritaLaura, NewAzazel, Devill, unbuntu21, Leothechosen, arith seneviratne, TMG KRYPTIC X, Konoha no Kiiro Senko, mikeypenny1

The other top 5 parties finished as following: USWP garnered 22.1% of votes, AMP had 16.22%, LAP had 15.44%, and WTP had 14.58%.

Well as we have previously covered in Fed Media, the country president elections are coming soon and there are two candidates vying for Fed support. The Feds own Tyler Bubblar  is seeking Fed support as well as USWP’s Gnilraps. Both candidates have started Q&A threads. Check it out. Ask a couple of questions. Get to know the candidates better.

Helping out new people has always been a major goal for the Fed party. A lot of times people come into the eWorld and stumble around for months without any real direction. This makes it not only harder for them be effective players, it also prevents them from finding how great meta game community really is.

Our Party President Blondeninja has announced the reformation of the the Fed Mentoring Program. Read all about it in the following link

State of the World

Well recently as anyone and everyone that fights in the game has noticed (and probably many that do not fight have noticed), there have been some major changes in the structure of fighting.

Plato has seen in his infinite (or infinitesimal) wisdom that reorganizing the battle divisions was a more important fix than anything else that they could have done to improve game mechanics. This change has meant changing the levels required to reach each division.

Now we are not going to go into the reorder process, what is means to levels, or how badly it screws the D1 players. All of that has been covered dozens of times by dozens of players. So if you want a break down on that stuff you should read some of that media (or even take a look at last week's paper here).

One thing I have heard suggested is that they should have just added a Division 5 for more advanced fighters. On this subject I have a couple thoughts. First I have heard it suggested that adding Division 5 would have been too exclusive. Considering that there was only around 200 Division 4 players after the changing of the Division requirements. I think this is not entirely accurate. I expect that if they had introduced a Division 5 they would not have made Division 4 start at level 70. It is more likely they would have not changed the first three Divisions at all. They merely would have split Division 4 into two, probably making that split somewhere near level 60 or 65. So Division probably would not have been any more exclusive than current Division 4 is. That being said, I do not think the making it more exclusive is the reason they did not add a new Division.

The reason I think that they did not add a new Division has to do with battle mechanics. The current battle module has point system built on the premise that the winner of the battle must collect 83 points. These points are gathered by winning individual battles per Division. Each Division gets a set amount of points (1, 2, 3, and 5) for every round of battle won. The total must add up to the afore mentioned 83 points. To add a new Division would mean rewriting the battle coding to include points for a new Division. They would need to raise the 83 points to something much higher, as they would need to assign more points to give out. Assumedly the base points for Division 5 would have to be minimum of 6 points (as D4 is 5), and likely it would be higher than that.

Also they would have to rework all their leaderboards and other things. Given my knowledge of Plato, I would say that just upping the levels of the Divisions and calling it good is exactly what we should have expected of Plato. Why take the effort to make something better when they can get away with a couple minor coding changes? The prior would have been better for us players, sure. But the latter is the consistent state of Plato and his minions.

State of the Staff

Hello again, Feds. In the short while I have come back I have learned so much. I feel pretty brand new again and have tried out a lot of the new features the game has offered. There have been a great many people who have helped me, you know who you are, and its been quite a ride since returning two weeks ago!

What have I been up to? Well, I was pretty damn eager to try a lot of the new stuff.

- I created two companies (a fishery, bread factory) and work for myself and get a job with a high paying salary. Seems okay for now, but nothing hugely beneficial.

- I have upgraded my Training Grounds. So far I have only been able to get the first TG to Q3 and have been spending gold for the weight room and climbing center. I am definitely holding out for the next TG discount period.

- I have joined the Fed Media and am having a blast working for Trekker and company. I only hope what I write is of value!

- I joined the SHIELD militia group and after listening to the recent Fed Radio broadcast I feel I have a little bit to contribute to help SHIELD. Time will tell I guess.

- I have put my hat in for Congress and have integrated myself into the Fed forums. This party makes me feel as close as I possibly can to the old roots of 2009/2010. It is interesting being in the top party now when I remember the Feds behind the AAP, USWP, Libs and SEES. I am ready to serve Miss Deschanel!

- My ePeen needed some of these new medals that are available too. I got a Freedom Fighter and Mercenary medal. If there is someone who can tell you the medals are expensive as hell to get it is me. I had fun traveling and assisting liberate countries, but it just didn't mean anything in the end. I now have this empty feeling and need something to fill it.

I hope SHIELD fills that hole
