Presidential Manifesto: Restore Switzerland

Salut madams and monsieurs,

The torch that lights Switzerland grows dimmer day by day. Soon my dear friends, I am afraid that one day, our lovely torch will just cease to exist... and when that day comes, who knows what new horrors will besiege the very survival of our community. Dark times are ahead, but so too are bright futures. And that is why I come to you today to announce my candidacy for November 2012 Country President of Switzerland. As the candidate supported by all but one party, I undoubtedly will put all of my efforts into curing Switzerland of its current plague, and seek justice be dealt to those who have wronged our peaceful nation. Tough times call for tough measures, and that is why it is time to elect a strong, pragmatic leader.

As the wise Aristotle once said, Hope is a walking dream.

Lately, it seems like fear has grown rampant in the Swiss community, and yet, little has been done besides rash actions. In my opinion, now is not the time to act irrationally... now is the time to remain calm, maintain our composure, and draft clear, concise, and efficient solutions. Make your voice heard. Make your vote count. Vote Monsieur Guillontine for Country President! Restore Switzerland!
