Restore Switzerland - Foreign Affairs

Day 1,808, 00:16 Published in Switzerland Switzerland by Monsieur Guillontine

Salut madams and monsieurs,

Lately, I have seen the slow, yet gradual degradation of our foreign policy as a nation. Evident irrationality as well as ignorance has taken a toll on our nation; however, I know we can reverse this pattern, and we can make Switzerland an international competitor once more!

Starting off, I will try my hardest to ensure that we will be able to nominate a strong citizen to take on the duties of Military Commander. When I'm talking about Military Commander, I don't mean for Switzerland, but instead for the Circle of Trust. It's about time that Switzerland once more directed the legions of the alliance, and why not? We are clearly a tightly knit community with an organized military, and it would only make sense for us to lead the Circle of Trust to glory. In addition, such power and influence would allow us to further emphasize the fact that Switzerland is not a country to belittle, but in fact be cautious of.

Another issue I have seen with our Foreign Affairs Department though, is that the activity of our ambassadors is almost nonexistent. This is unacceptable. As a nation with a growing population, activity must be our priority. Although we have been attempting to increase activity from our ambassadors for months, it seems as though all strategies have failed. That is why I am proposing a new idea. Even though I cannot guarantee the success of this plan, we will never know until we actually try. I propose paying each ambassador 250 CHF for each article they write, which will be one article per week. Here's the catch: ambassadors will not be paid unless their work is satisfactory. In other wards, the Director of Embassies will review each article, and depending on whether or not it fulfills the requirements which the Director will eventually specify, the ambassador will be paid. Through this method of reform, I hope to guarantee ambassadors an incentive for benefiting the community, and by doing so, our community's activity as a whole will increase dramatically.

Thus, when in regards to foreign affairs, I hope to not only portray Switzerland as an international player, but also as a nation with soaring activity through the implementation of a new Ambassador Program. There is no time to waste. We possess the tools to make Switzerland a better place... now all that's left is that we put our hearts to actually doing it. Make your voice heard. Make your vote count. Vote Monsieur Guillontine for Country President! Restore Switzerland!

Let's fight. Fight for peace.

Peace out,
Monsieur Guillontine
Presidential Candidate
