The eUnited States Government has created a one-stop shop for anyone interested in volunteering to help their country. Simply visit the newly updated Government Job Interest Form and indicate your interests in fields like the military, foreign policy, economics, domestic affairs, media, technology, and administration. Positions of all skill levels and involvement are available. It's just that easy.
EDEN's Progress In Europe
Since the last issue of the White House Press Release, EDEN has made tremendous progress in Europe. Most recently, Poland erased Germany from the map thanks to another stellar tanking effort last night. This one knocked down a 700k wall in less than thirty minutes. Farther east, Romania conquered Bulgaria to eliminate another Phoenix puppet-state. Better yet, because of their success in Bulgaria, Romania has also been able to disrupt Serbia's land bridge to India, costing the Serbs countless wasted gold. Meanwhile Spain has France down to two regions and, at the same time, has begun to conquer the British-held territories in Belgium. In the Mediterranean, Greece has Turkey on its heels as Greek troops march to reclaim Israel.
The Influx of Iron & Economic Changes
Due to the substantial impact that the high-iron region of Karnataka has had on the United States economy, the Congressional Budget Office has decided to raise the USD exchange rate to 1 USD = 0.03 gold. As sydiot explains here, the altered exchange rate is designed to reflect the new economy - one that includes a high-iron region.
Department of State Updates
Secretary of State Bradley Reala has announced several substantial updates to the Department of State. The Bureau of the International Database, an eRepublik version of the CIA World Factbook, is run by timothybeasley. He's looking for highly organized players, preferably with encyclopedic knowledge of the early days of eRepublik. Brent Abernathy runs the Immigration and Naturalization and is looking for people who want to keep our borders safe and help US Senators.
Media Department Expansion
The Department of Media has been undergoing expansion since I took office as Secretary of Media during the Frost administration. The Pony Express migrated to the Media department, and now more initiatives in the Media department are beginning. The Secretary of Media and White House Press Secretary were once married positions, and I have held them since November. To better oversee the entirety of the Media department in my Cabinet-level post, it is necessary to divorce those positions. The new White House Press Secretary, in charge of these press meetings, is Mr. Hyphenated. It is my hope that the Media department and the White House Press Release will be improved by this move. Ambassadorial Affairs Updates
The Bureau of Ambassadorial Affairs has rearranged its management. Indrae will lead the Bureau for the second month, aided by two deputies: comandokiller and Myles Robinson. The two deputies will oversee the seven ambassadorial regions of Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Oceania.
North American University
The North American University will be starting up again in the near future. Their registration forum is here, and courses will be offered in history, economics, and other aspects pertinent to eRepublik. Contact Fionia with any questions relating to the NAU, and review this article for more details.

no, seriously, don't act foolish. you know exactly why those territories weren't released. There is a strategic value in hold multiple territories. Most importantly, if one were to be attacked by, oh I don't know SERBIA, we wouldn't be knocked completely out of Asia with the loss of one or two regions. Remember how your country had to hold onto WSR to defend it against Romania, and Hungary had to hold onto Podolia???? OUCH BRAH IT BURNS DEEP!
The plan is, and always has been to defend Karnataka from Phoenix aggression until the NAP has expired. At that point the situation will be re-evaluated. If India wants it, they merely have to notify us, and pay the costs of the RW. if they prefer we rent it and pay them for it, then that may continue.
