Ambassadorial Affairs Paper Revived, New Management

Day 781, 17:04 Published in USA USA by US Ambassadorial Office

It has long been overdue, but is time to once again put this newspaper into good use. For over three months it has been quiet, but over those three months, there have been a lot of changes in the Bureau of Ambassadorial Affairs. For those not familiar with the AA, it is a Bureau within the State Department that works towards improving our countries' relationship with other countries, while at the same time learning about those countries. In order to accomplish this, we send ambassadors who will interact with the citizens of the other countries, helping to build trust, which is valuable in foreign relations. So, to not use too much of your time, let's delve into the changes the AA has undergone over the past few months:

New Management
One of the most important changes that all ambassadors should know about by now is that we are under "new" management. For the last month, Indrae has served as the Director of Ambassadorial Affairs, and has worked to make the Bureau more efficient, orderly, and has worked on minor restructuring of the Bureau.

We now have two Deputy Directors: comandokiller and Myles Robinson. The reasoning behind having two Deputy Directors is to ease the burden that one would bear, to make the Bureau easier to manage. Comandokiller and Myles Robinson will be tasked with overseeing the regional bosses, where comandokiller will be overseeing European region bosses, and Myles Robinson will be overseeing American, Asian, and Oceanic region bosses.

Seven region bosses will be tasked with overseeing the ambassadors to the countries that fall within the boundaries of their regions. These bosses are: Daniel Dodge (Northern Europe), livingabroad (Southern Europe), Joshua Patterson (Western Europe), Q2M100 (Americas), Aersidius (Asia), Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Oceania), and DanielCD (Eastern Europe). We are currently considering implementing Deputy Region Bosses in order to relieve some stress for the region bosses, and an update about this will be released at a later time.

For reference, here is a list of the regions and the countries that they include:
Northern Europe: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and the UK.
Southern Europe: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, and Spain.
Western Europe: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
Americas: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Asia: China, India, Iran, Israel, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, and Thailand.
Oceania: Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa.
*Note: Some country placements might not make geographical sense, but are grouped for practical reasons.*
Ambassadors should contact their region bosses if they have not done so already.

Upcoming Recruitment Drive
In the next few weeks we will start to begin a recruitment drive to fill open positions. When this begins, we will publish another article in this newspaper.

As always, you can always apply here, and for those interested in learning more about the BoAA, feel free to read through this board on the eUS forums.
