The Battle for Liaoning

An extremely important undertaking has begun. Liaoning, a high iron region in China currently under Iranian control, one of the three pillars of the Phoenix empire in Asia, is under attack by the United States. This region is an Iranian fortress, with a quality-level 5 defense system and hospital. Congress unanimously approved of war with Iran, which held Yukon and Northwest Territories from Canada for a significant period of time before being ousted by Canada with significant deployed elements from the United States and allied nations.

There are no activated mutual protection pacts in this war. All foreign fighters will have to deploy to the United States or Iran, and many are expected for both sides.

President Jewitt discussed this battle during the war declaration in his latest article.

Guns for Huns will be returning under a new name. The eUS forums are experiencing outages, so this will be conducted directly through the USA Welcoming Committee. To be eligible, one must be an American citizen living in Florida or California with a strength between 3 and 15. Methods of requesting weapons can be found here.

A new feature for this battle will be a coordinated civilian effort. A mass attack similar to the ones conducted by various militaries of the New World is planned for the second day of the battle. American citizens can meet in #eUS-Civil on Rizon.Net, which will be moderated by American military, executive, and legislative leaders, and be organized for a mass attack. This is currently scheduled to begin at 15:30 server time (3 pm PST, 5 pm CST, 6 pm EST).



Gaius Julius Appointed EDEN Military Commander

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gaius Julius has been appointed Military Commander of EDEN forces. He replaces FelipeII, and Filurkatten will be his assistant. Julius hopes to improve EDEN’s global coordination and better prioritize EDEN campaigns. He will approve or decline national plans of the member states, manage troop deployments, and coordinate the EDEN Mobile Corps (EMC).

Inaugural eUS Lottery

The 24th Congress of the eUnited States recently passed a piece of legislation creating the eUS Lottery. The official announcement from lottery director mjdiv is here.

The first lottery has been announced here. Each ticket costs 5 USD (or 0.125 Gold), and the prize is a Q5 house! The raffle ends at rollover to Day 762.



Army Recruitment Information

The Army Public Affairs Office has a new article out discussing their new recruitment efforts. American soldiers in the lower branches who now qualify for the eUS Army might find this to be a great time to enlist.



War Games Conclusion

The war games with Ireland concluded quietly. The initiative, started by Former Vice President Woxan, provided experience and wellness for residents of over 20 countries and armed the United States with a massive list of mutual protection pacts. The campaign in Asia negates the need for war games now, and Ireland was unable to benefit from the arrangement any longer.

Obviously the most important news of the day is the battle for Liaoning. Go out and win, and pay attention to the DoD Orders. Various government officials have been shouting them up for a reason.

As this is one of the most important battles in recent history, heavy tanking is expected on both sides. To keep our tanks going, we need gold to spend on wellness packs. Many of you have noticed the relatively new feature, the surveys and offers, in the "gold and extras" tab. There is a section of these offers for free ones, mostly short surveys. Consider completing a few of these and donating half your free gold to the tanking effort via the 1st Armored Division. If every citizen did a small part from this, we could raise a very significant amount of gold. Liaoning is going to be a hard-fought battle, and we should be willing to dig deep to win.
