HH: The Launch of a Newspaper

This is the second article I'm writing, and the official launch of the Heartlanders Herald broadsheet. Why I chose this name is because the heartlander is the common Singaporean. Being called the herald of the common Singaporean, I believe that this newspaper will be the voice of the eSingaporean heartlander! 🙂

Heartlanders Herald aims to promote the culture of Singapore to all eSingaporeans, where ever they live in real life. This newspaper promise to share with all eSingaporeans what Singapore is like, so we can develop our eNational identity. This newspaper also wishes to share the happenings of eSingapore, and to promote what is good for our country.

As promised in my first article, I'm posting up the pictures of Singapore's National Day Parade logos, starting from 2003 in this article. I derived the newspaper logo from the 2003 logo because, the logo is in the shape of our country, a diamond of the sea. The shape constitutes of smaller shapes of paper dolls, representing the people of Singapore. The different colours of the paper make up the flag of the Singapore as well, making the logo a true representation of Singapore.

Treasury Secretary steps down
Glade steps down as Economic Advisor, leaving Arbryn's Cabinet with an empty spot. The new economic advisor is hoped to have strong business acumen, contacts, and the ability to solve the current problem with iron imports, which Arbryn is close to solving.

Citizenship HOD opens Newbie Academic School
Woshiempire, our HOD of Citizenship, has created the Academic School for Newcomers. The school hopes to attract newcomers to join, and learn more about the workings of eRepublik, as well as to take an active participation in Singapore's arena. This, in great hope, will groom future leaders of eSingapore.

New countries to be introduced
The admins have announced that they will be adding three new countries on 8th April; Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia. Let's all hope that these countries will not get raped like how we were. If the admins would focus on increasing the well-being of the newer countries instead of expanding their player base, I'm sure we won't be where we are right now.

Brazil's new region rearrangements
Brazil's South region will be divided into South and Far South, with South getting medium iron, and Far South getting medium grain. Far South will start as a new region, South keeps everything.

School term break for students
The March term break for primary, secondary schools and junior colleges started on 14th March and will be ending on the 22nd. Happy holidays students!

Poly students going back to school
Polytechnic students have gotten back their semester results and awaits the new semester come 19th April. Also, the 2007 batch of O-level students have confirmed their places in the various polytechnics, and join the rest of poly students in the opening of a new school semester.
