Immigration

My dear disciples,

Today, our nation of Switzerland is not the nation of the Swiss, but now the nation of foreigners. I think it’s is great that our nation is a melting pot where many different cultures and ethnicities blend together, and where we can all learn something from each other. The risk of a political-takeover is low at the moment, and I congratulate our citizens for being able to withstand any destruction from foreigners. However, I do believe that there must be some reforming of the current immigration policy. As of now, the Minister of Interior is the person solely in charge of accepting or denying a person seeking Swiss citizenship. I believe that this system is a flaw.

I would like to instead a new immigration system, where Congress members will decide on whether or not Switzerland should accept a new citizen. The Congress members will vote either to accept or deny a citizenship seeker, and that will be what helps the Minister of Immigration determine whether it is safe to accept a foreigner or not. I am suggesting this different system because not only do I think it will force Congress members to be more active, it will also create a more reliable way of dealing with immigrants. Therefore, as we drop the chains of an outdated method, soon my friends, Switzerland will be able to be free, once again. Freedom… Forever!





Education

Education, I think, is one of the most important necessities which a government can provide for its people. Without a good educational system, new Swiss citizens will not only be discouraged from actually becoming active in Swiss society, but also, they will consequently not find enough fun, therefore ending their eLife quickly. That is exactly why I will have a Minister of Information who will constantly publish new articles for younger players to give tutorials which clarify basic aspects of eRepublik. In addition, it will be important to further encourage citizens who are between 0 – 1,500 strength to join the Swiss Youth Academy. The academy will teach fresh recruits about the fundamentals of the Swiss Army, as well as give them some extra experience. And so, it is time to cut the ropes of weakness and tie on tougher, thicker ropes of strength. Freedom… Forever!
