Anderson for California - June 25th, 2009
Khaiyan
People of California, I approach you again for your continued support as I run for re-election. Please take time to read what I have to say so that you are better informed on election day. Thank you.
****
Who am I?
- I am the incumbent Congressman for California that is seeking re-election. I look towards your support, so that I may continue representing the people of this fine state
- A leading member of the American Health Organization (an org dedicated to providing a state with a Q5 hospital). Please visit the link or read below to find out more about its purpose
- The USWP's PAC West Director, a role that assigns me to the vetting and endorsing USWP candidates running in Western regions. Last month proved to be quite promising as 5 people in my region secured a Congressional seat!
- A newly selected Platoon Commander. Word up to all my soldiers out there!
My Congressional objectives
My Congressional objectives stand the same as last month but here is a reminder.
- Maintain the stability of the USD and prevent any fluctuation within the economy
- Limit government expenditure to only what is necessary. No ‘pork belly’ spending
- Preserve our strong relations with foreign countries, whilst putting our own welfare first
- Promote free trade as I did this term (looking at my voting records above)
- Support any legislation that promotes any social program (i.e. M*A*S*H, MoW)
- Continue government transparency that I have been effective in doing in my current term
(Just click here, here and here)

Taxation
"Taxes, after all, are dues that we pay for the privileges of membership in an organized society"
Franklin D. Roosevelt
I really cannot stress the importance of taxes. It is essentially the government's main source of revenue, so if it has an improper level, the many sectors of our community such our military and our welfare programs will be insufficiently funded. The devastating ramifications of this will be felt across the nation. Here is a simplified version of how I will approach taxes in Congress.
- Low VAT rates to ensure that foreign GM continue investing in our domestic products
- Maintain the current high income taxes – everyone is coping fine, I see no reason to end it
- Lower tariffs on foreign moving tickets, oil, wood and grain
Low import tax may sound damaging to the economy but by opening our doors to foreign competition, we are increasing the availability of cheap goods to our citizens. The rise in foreign goods will also mean more Government revenue through import tax.
California and a Q5 hospital?
"A Hospital is no place to be sick"
Thomas Goldwyn
As your Congressman, it is my duty to ensure you make the most out of this game without damaging your sentimental attachment to California (which I presume is your real life state). I could quite easily advise you to move to Florida or New Jersey to make the most of their Q5 hospital, however, the cost of leaving California is just too great. Instead, Cerb, Dmalicious and I have teamed up to co-found the American Health Organization (AHF). Running on public donations, this Org will place a Q5 hospital in one lucky state! As the 3rd most active state, I am certain California will have high chances of securing that hospital! Feel free to read its newspaper (link above), subscribe and donate!
Foreign Policy
"We cannot enter into alliances until we are acquainted with the designs of our neighbor"
Sun Tzu
The fall of ATLANTIS has revealed that we cannot shape our foreign policy on what's best for the world, but rather what's best for us. That said, I do not wish to pursue this egocentric attitude. Instead I wish to seek alliance with strategic nations, that are capable of raising fear in PEACE and co-operating with us. That is where ATLANTIS failed, member nations did not acknowledge the importance of communication. During this term in Congress, I have supported MPPs with small and big nations alike that I feel will contribute towards collective security. I have also favored alliances with nations that wish to promote free trade by lowering tariffs. Please read this and this article for more on the importance of free trade.
Government transparency
Upholding government transparency was one of my campaign promises and I believe I have delivered on that. (Just take a look here, here and here). My voting records give you a sense of how well I am representing you in Congress and the bigger picture of how this country is progressing. If re-elected, I will continue to publicize my activity in Congress and will respectively be open to any feedback so that I can learn from my mistakes and better represent you in the future.
Welfare programs
"The welfare of each is bound up in the welfare of all"
Helen Keller
Undeniably, these past few weeks have revealed the charitable nature of many within our community. Without further ado, let me present to you these fine individuals:
- SirEkim and James Strife in their efforts in leading the Meals on Wheels Program
- Ligtreb for successfully directing the outstanding Welcoming Committee
- SirEkim again for his fantastic work on M*A*S*H (proven to be successful!)
- HeadmistressTalia and Bill Brasky for their ongoing leadership of the Mentoring Program
Of course we cannot forget the man behind the communication of all these programs, Cerb! They all deserve a round of applause for their incredible input towards improving our community. These individuals shall be treasured forever and I owe it to them by supporting any legislation that promotes these programs. I can attest to the fact that all these schemes are highly effective and will ensure that our nationals are composed of the best and the brightest!

Thank you Hiispie 🙂
it cost what $15 to move to Florida or NJ? compared to the thousands of dollars on a Q5 hospital yes the 10-15 to move to Florida or NJ is much to high.
@Kfitzy - You are looking at the short term picture here. Please re-consider your evaluation.
Hospitals not only help with wellness BUT it raises the wall of the state it is in. California and the other frontrunners in the AHF have PEACE borders, which means its high wall will come in great use. This is another reason as to why a Q5 hospital is needed in California. To improve our National Security.
Furthermore, some of my constituents have a sentimental attachment to California (presumably because they live there in RL). I wouldn't want to force them to move elsewhere. So if I cannot get them to move to a Q5 hospital, I shall get a Q5 hospital to move to them 🙂
That last sentence is why Thomas is a great canadiate for california.
