9/11: The Stars and Stripes are Forever

Day 1,026, 09:27 Published in USA USA by Lieutenant Scheisskopf

Before going into eRepublik topics, let me ask for a moment of your time to contemplate the real life (RL) events which took place 9 years ago this day. Remember the lives lost and forever changed; those great patriots who have sought to protect us since; and all those who love peace but had a beautiful religion hijacked by a small group of violent extremists. It was a scar on humanity, one of the darkest days of the country I love, and left behind a legacy we all must live with and improve together.

But moving onto the eRepublik matters which comprise the reason for writing this article...

With another week passed in my eRep comeback, I wanted to share a few new developments and things for subscribers to look forward to...

I feel comfortable enough now with eRepublik’s foreign affairs and military practices to resume military reporting on a semi-regular basis in the Stars and Stripes Journal (S&SJ). I am glad to see that Kyle321n has filled the gap in wartime coverage in his newspaper, and I look forward to working with him and with you all to bring reliable analysis and reporting from the New World’s battlefields (If you are a little new to eRepublik or were not familiar with my paper, I used to write articles like this, or this, and long epics or the Week That Was to show what the battlefields looked like). I admit, though, that there are some intricacies to V2 military tactics that I am still trying to more completely understand, so be patient with me if my analyses miss the mark sometimes. At this point, I am not sure when the next publication will be, but that is solely based on when reportable topics may surface.

But with the return of something old (my wartime paper) comes the promise of something new: I would like to run for Congress later this month. Were I elected, I would hope to bring my game experience and extensive military background to the eUS political realm. A platform will be released in the coming days, but I hope to receive some eUS support and would be honored to serve as one of the eUS' leaders if elected.

God Bless America,

Lt. Scheisskopf
