POTUS Election Roundup
Staff Writer Donovan Zoi
In today's CP election, WTP incumbent Oblige easily secured a second consecutive term (and sixth overall) by defeating Federalist challenger BigCDizzle, along with a couple of lulz candidates*.
The Oblige campaign ran successfully on the removal of Hungary and Serbia from the US mainland, a solid hand-picked cabinet, and the creation of a new National Security Council that brought more MUs to strategy sessions than ever before.

However, there is still a close race with some local interest to the north of us. After a month of being instrumental in helping Canada to win back most of its territory, US-AIM's notable e
😜at DMV3 holds on to second place for Canada CP in a close 3-way race. In a recent announcement late in the campaign, DMV3 has secured the last minute support from the third and fourth place candidates in the hopes of taking the top spot by reset tonight. We may not know how this one pans out all the ballots are counted Friday morning.

We're doing a bit of Press Corps personnel shuffle as we begin this new term.
Hale26 is jammin' on some RL, and has stepped out. Ludonaar and eCenk Uygar both started out strong last term, but RL > Game so we couldn't hold them. We also saw a strong start from Kortanul, but it didn't stick. Thanks, guys, for your excellent work-- we'll leave the light on for you, if you'd like to chip in and rejoin the team.
Irule777 is also overboooked for time, and we'll see a bit less of his great work in the WHPR.
Joining us to do War Maps and Analysis is Mourning Star-- definitely a different style, but I think you'll like his work, starting in this edition of WHPR.
Also joining us full time, is Donovan Zoi. You'll remember he did a Guest segment last week, and totally rocked it-- today he has top story.
To reload the Press Corps Media Team, we'll be reaching out to all political Parties for Guest Writer spots, which may develop into full Staff Writer status. If you fancy yourself a bit of a journalist, do a little media work for your Party and contact us with the URL to your article(s).
Show me what you can do!
Melissa Rose and Tyler Buublar will continue as Co-Deputy Secretaries, with Melissa doing the Monday WHPRs as well as the Recommended Reading paper, and watching my back to be sure I get my two editions of this paper out on time.
Friday's WHPR will have President Oblige's full Cabinet list for September.

With baguettes and wine in hand France and her allies, including the USA, pushed into enemy occupied Lombardy. Slovenia had held this province against France’s will for 127 days before finally succumbing to the might of the righteous. And with Croatia, Switzerland (Yes, they have an army), and Austria attacking the Slovs from the north you have to wonder how much more they can take.
In other news, we are fighting to keep the Hungarians hungry, with Russia launching an assault on the recently Hun occupied province of Dnipro (not to be confused with the iPro camera). With a +20% Food production rate, loss of this province would certainly be helpful in starving out the Hun menace. Early outlook for the battle didn’t show much promise, but never count your bacon before it hatches... bacon does hatch, right?

Thanks for the Update on the War Plans... Logical... and I know I was bitching about the USA losing its States to Poland and the Serbs awhile back, but it was explained to me how hard it is to keep 50 states without allies, and I have seen the USA take back many states while helping others and heck, this is a game of battle and logic, you have to lose sometimes... Anyhow, thanks for the updates! Bombs Away...
