I am personally disappointed, both in the American population in general, and in the politicians and political machines.
First, the people.. probably not you, sitting there reading this, because people who read the newspapers are probably included in the pathetic 24% or so who bother to vote in elections. But the other 75%-- granted, it's likely a number either inflated or fabricated by Admins to impress the tech media and potential investors-- but some greater number of players who don't bother voting. I wish there was an "I voted" icon that would appear on our player profiles.
Secondly, for those of us who do participate in the process... another brand of disappointment. Campaigning on the issues has become a front, a circus sideshow that candidates put on for our amusement. But the real deal is, as always, all about Party and clique alignment.
Yeah.. I just bitched that politics is bullshit, and bitched that people aren't voting. That's because withdrawing-- not voting-- is not the answer. The solution lies in playing it straight what a concept!).. there are issues, and if candidates were truly sincere in presenting themselves as concerned and focused on them then maybe voters would have something to think about, and maybe begin to develop an actual individual conscience to guide their vote.
But.. I'm probably just spittin' into the wind, because players seem quite content to align according to popularity, cult factions, and the drive to win or advance themselves by any means necessary.
As NASCAR officials declared at the beginning of last season, "Have at it, boys, but don't whine about it when you're wrecking more than winning."

Your editorial is funny, I know many players who have been viocing the same for years. I even remember when you refuse to work with silent-G and me on this very journal, because of other players involved, yet here you are involved with those same type of players. Hypocrite, much of late?

Regarding the population statistics I suspect they also include the eDead, since it seems to me that once a new player has played consistently for 3 or 4 days they become ranked ~3000 in eUSA national rank.
