[UKRP] Presidents, Congress and extreme transport measures

Day 1,227, 13:27 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by UKRP HQ

Good evening all!

We’ve had a busy few days here in the Reform Club; we are currently deliberating on the current Presidential elections. The eUK at the moment is going through an international period of changing decks and allegiances; thus we recognise the need for rational and pragmatic debate before we finally give our endorsement for either Woldy or Artela (other candidates have been eliminated). Additionally, Congress has been set up and the legislative agenda has begun. You’ll be pleased to hear that Lord Matthew Russell has been appointed ‘Chief Whip’ to help our much larger share of congress this month with actively representing your interests in the House of Commons.

Reform on it's way to Parliament!

I will hand over the podium to Lord Matthew Russell and Englishboy to update you on our progress in congress this month 😉.

'The first few days of this term ran smoothly. It has actually been a while since I have been in congress, (two months to be exact). Since my return, I have made myself aware of the issues and situation facing the eUK at the moment and held discussions with my Congress colleagues and others on various IRC channels. I have collected their opinions and prepared myself to take part in more important discussions. I have had the privilege of being nominated and selected to be the United Kingdom Reform Party Congressional Whip and am lucky to have two capable and active deputies - Lap12345 and Englishboy77 - congratulations to both of you.

As the UKRP Congressional Whip, I hope to accomplish several things. The first and most important goal is activity. I hope that I, with the help of the two deputies, will be able to improve the voting record of our MPs and keep the voting rate high. This will ensure that the people elected to represent their constituents will be doing so. I would also like to encourage our more tacitern members to more actively participate in discussions.

Finally, I hope to see a more generally active congress in the future. Although this is a goal for our party as a consequence of my job as Chief Whip, I would like to see the entire congress become more active. We have many people who do take part and contribute, but there are those who feel their opinions are of little worth and so appear to have nothing to contribute. I believe no one, regardless of their political orientation, should be excluded'.

-Lord Matthew Russell, Chief Whip

'This has been a really exciting month of my eCareer as I have taken my first few steps into the world of politics by becoming a congress member from the UKRP. In my five days as being a member of congress, I have learned a fair amount on how this country works. I have been very interested in the way that new laws are changed and/or added to the eUK, and I find it is efficient and has plenty of room for improvement.

Throughout these five days, I have participated in two votes, and I have watched the results for both of them pour in. I really am looking forward to the rest of this term, and having the chance to help choose the fate of the eUK.'

-Englishboy77, Deputy Whip

I hope you’re all well, make the most out of the temporary 500 wellness update 😃!

Yours,

Sir Humphrey Appleby MP, UKRP Party President
