[UK-CP] War with Asgard and more

Dear citizens,
Time flies by when you are having “fun” juggling a few eRepublik jobs, RL and attempting to sleep for a decent proportion of the day: needless to say this balance heavily favours eRepublik. Here’s my latest update on the last 6-7 days worth of eUK.
Let’s start off with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs area. In terms of articles published by the Ministry, we have a recent one about Brazil, which is both an information article showing more about a country that we know little about, but also a clarification on some rumours within Brazil. In addition to this, we have officially joined Sirius after weeks of preparation by diplomats in previous governments as well as my own. I look forward to working with the other CPs in the alliance towards a better and brighter future for our countries.
Sticking with the external ministries, let’s move to the Ministry of Defence. We have still got out military orders at regular intervals, which would love to be voted up to the top 5… In addition to this, BrickTamland has started working on a side-project: the MU tour diaries. So far we have two articles out, one about the Funky Militia and the Royal Navy.
Last, but definitely not least, let’s talk about war. I know that some of you have criticised the way that it has been handled but, in my completely unbiased opinion, they have been handled rather well. I am sure some of you have seen the recent acquisitions by Norway as well as the rest of asgard in aligning themselves with Asteria. I will admit that so far the war has not gone according to plan, but I have had a lot of fun watching and participating in these battles. I would like to give a big thank you to everyone who fought for us in Ostlandet and Vestlandet today and yesterday, I saw people fighting from many countries around the world and I appreciate each and every hit you do for the UK. I hope that the next battle is as good as todays but we will win this time.
In addition to this, eBelgium has asked us to wipe them due to Poland not being in the area. I have agreed to this as it helps out an ally of the eUK as well as gets us additional fruit (a food bonus that we lost due to the aforementioned asgard/asteria war) and should not drain UK damage much, when we need it elsewhere. I understand that this may be a bit of a tactical risk but I think it will be worthwhile for the UK.
That’s all for this week but I’ll be back whenever there is more to update you all with. If the count von count images are getting too much, please tell me and I’ll attempt to find other sesame street characters to use instead.

eBelgium does not want to be wiped, only a few expats and their puppets want this.
I think you will find support for the wipe by a number of old players who are neither expats nor puppets. Take a look at who remains in div 4 in eBe, including people who lose a lot by being wiped, I will grant there is some vocal opposition, but being loud doesn't make these the majority.
I wouldn't call them that way, I'd just say eBelgium is very divided on the matter

Let me just ask you a simple question Neil, what is your point?
If you are saying that we hold nothing because I chose to give it up, then you are wrong. Sirius was fighting for us and our own priorities were for us to hit, there was no giving up.
If you are saying that the damage difference is there, then I don’t get how that makes me ineffectual: the difference would be there regardless of if I was CP or not, in fact without Sirius priority there’s no way the battle would have been as close as it was.
If you are saying that I am ineffectual, then I guess doing as much as I can to ensure that we have alliance priority, spending nothing at all and then having a battle as close as Ostlandet really shows just how effective my term has been. Oh, and don’t forget that we won’t actually lose any bonus when we have fruit from eBelgium back so that’s another show of how effective I am.

And we've been INVITED to take over eBelgium? OK, we gain fruit to replace the lost bonus but there's still a break in the bonus. We probably could have had both if you hadn't ran away from a voted-down Swedish NE. That's the point I'm making.
Of course, you could take my suggestion & looked further south; there's fruit AND GRAIN in eFrance! Getting down to the Rubber might be a struggle, but I'm sure the eUK would love the attempt, no?
Why yes Neil, I do see that we lost a bonus and that was no fault of my own. I believe I explained why quiet aptly and I still don’t see your point here.
No, we couldn’t have had both. These talks with Belgium about a wipe have been going on for some length of time and, unless you wanted to spend 10k of eUK money to gain a food bonus, we couldn’t have got it any sooner. The whole point of it being this late is to ensure the wipe for our allies, unless you want to be selfish and put our own interests ahead of those.
Please stop using the words “ran away” when all the evidence points that we stood and fought. Firstly, we didn’t organise the RW, if you read the comments on your own article you’d see that asgard claimed responsibility for that and I never did. Secondly, CoTD was on the RW so we didn’t run away from the NE either, we fought and lost. Thirdly, there’s no way we could keep this bonus regardless of if we had or hadn’t NE’d, we would have lost border and then have not been able to NE norway when we did.
We COULD have gone for france, but look at the damage difference between the Belgium and France. You tell me which is the far far safer option for a reliable resource when France did 29,347,373,358 damage last week against Belgiums 3,461,978,491 damage, as well as the fact that Belgium wants to be wiped vs France wanting to have regions and fighting back.

Just for reference guys, don't NE sweden. We're going to RW Ostlandet tomorrow which will break the NE. From there we can NE france or NE norway, it's upto you guys what you want to do. MKD has asked us to co-operate on Norway however so take that into account.

For Neil- I want to close fronts if possible, it looks like norway are gearing up for a big attack on MKD/UK so we better be prepared.
You know what Neil, I will put in a good word with Atra to give you Chinese CS so you can have 10/10 bonus forever and you know the beauty of it you don’t even have to go fight for it that hard.

NLs message seems annoyed that we didn't stand and fight.
I didn't see any shouts to fight for Ostlandet - No chain shouting, there are no logs of any sort of push in #MoD. We didn't fight anywhere near as hard as we can at all.
