[Presidential Address] Moving Forward

Day 2,359, 08:10 Published in Canada Canada by DMV3

My fellow Canadians,

I would like to start by saying thank you for trusting our beloved eCanada to me and my team. I would like to thank my opponents for a hard fought and spirited campaign and thank the voters for paying attention to the issues that will be the cornerstone for rebuilding eCanada.

This month we start our journey as a renewed and united eCanada. After the campaign it is time for us to come together and fight to free ourselves from our imperialist oppressors. There will be trials and tribulations ahead of us, but it is my promise to you that together we will overcome them.

In the spirit of coming together and unifying eCanada behind my vision for it, I have decided to hold referendums on two parts of my agenda for the month that my opponents had issues with, War Bonds and the Meta-Congress. While I believe voters will support these issues, should either of these issues fail in a referendum I will accept those results. I would ask my opponents to do the same, should they pass. I will be releasing the full details of the referendum this evening.

While our nation does need a loyal opposition, I would ask that my supporters and opponents both keep things civil. We're not enemies, our enemies are the forces occupying our country and above all else our greatest enemies are apathy and fear.

Apathy and fear are the two most destructive forces we currently face. Apathy allows those who would impose their will upon us to succeed, and apathy above all else leads to oppression. Fear is an even greater motivator, as it can turn friends and allies against you and make even the most innocent situations seem threatening. In order to fight off these enemies we need to keep open the lines of communication and work together to engage each other in a positive way.

Over the course of the next month it is my intention to wipe out fear and apathy in eCanada by governing in a way that is both open and inclusive. While I may not enjoy criticism I know it to be the only way we can grow to trust one another. If you have an issue with anything the government is doing or if you have suggestions for things we could be doing that we're not, please feel free to speak up either publicly or contact me directly. This is your government and we will do our best to serve you.

Let us work together to make eCanada a great place for all our citizens.
Keep up the good fight eCanada!
