As I explained in my previous article, the Serbian region rental deal is now going through. We've seen the first battle take place and end on schedule. People will already be seeing a nice boost to their strength training, as well as 10% extra influence in the Serbia battles.
So yesterday saw the first battle in the campaign go more or less according to plan. The aim of the Netherlands battle was to give the initiative to Serbia, in preparation for their move to the appropriate regions.
It was nice to see so many people taking part in the fight - especially seeing a number of UK citizens taking away Battle Hero medals (myself included!).
The next phase of the campaign will start shortly. This involves Serbia attacking and conquering East of England. The inhabitants have already been PM'd offering moving tickets - hopefully I'll see some more responses to that before Serbia conquers the region.
Fight hard, and take your bonus influence and rank points, but do not worry about losing the minibattles - Serbia are supposed to conquer the region!
On Monday, the first auction will go up. This will be on the forums, and will start at daychange (8am). The auction will last for 14 hours, after which the highest bidder will win. Funds will go to the Bank of England, and I'll instruct the winner on when to start the RW.
It likely won't be for a few days, however, there should be a few opportunities for people to take home a medal. If citizens start RWs without going through us, we'll be looking to help Serbia defeat the RW as doing so will not only remove some government revenue, but also interfere with our schedule of events for this campaign. If you want the medal, don't waste your money and instead use the auctions!
I suggest to everybody that now is a great time to join the Army. The Army is tailored to offer more food than wages are able to buy, and accordingly, gives a great deal to those who want to fight. More fights means more ranking up, more experience, and accordingly more levelling up. Not only that, but the Army offers a unique community, and puts a great deal of fun into the game.
The training war offers a chance to complete missions, gives a slight boost to strength training, and a 10% boost to all damage done in those battles. I encourage all citizens to take advantage of the war in order to make the most out of our time.

Some of us cant all afford to fight.Some of us dont want to join the army.Some of us want to advance in different ways.Having said that we are all patriotic,and would love to contibute in ANY fighting,but if you're skint,what can we do?
If you're skint, I'd suggest joining the Army - it'll let you change your productivity into a bucket-load of food to fight.
If you don't want to do that but still want to fight, I suggest you spend your wages on fighting.

Resistance war, you can launch them using gold to return a region back to its original owners.

Indeed, if your businesses aren't returning you a profit to fight with, why are you still running them? Also, what exactly do you want? The government to give you free food? Honestly the army is hardly taxing, at most its 3 Wellness for 0.8gbp and 72 Wellness worth of food. Its a good deal.
Auction all well and good but still does not stop an ally member jumping in for an easy win.

mick cain I'm not quite sure what you want from me - it seems to me that you're suggesting we give you something for nothing, which doesn't happen. I've also been a businessman in the past, but the handy new feature from the admins of Work as Manager means I can run my companies profitably and be in the Army.
However, if you don't want to be in the Army, you can spend your own money if you still want to fight. Short of that, there's nothing I can do for you, especially since this is not a real war and we're not trying to win the battles.

It seems there's a new war against serbia I've been fighting until I run out of resources, if anyone can send me supplies and weapons I'll be glad to go to battlefield once again.

I would like to know what regions that are going to have to take to secure the rented regions.
What a joke. I signed up to be part of the United Kingdon, not London. So when all of congress lives in london after running in another county - this whole thing stinks of lining your own pockets.
The cash is going to country accounts JackHawkins, not to congress members. That means it's spent on things like defending the realm, or gifting schemes to new players.
There is no reason we need to keep those regions, other than nostalgia or rl regional pride. To my mind, congress oughtn't be letting silly things like that get in the way of running things as best as possible for the eUK.
I know it's difficult, and as a RL Northerner I've been somebody who's been trying to see a return to more local representation. But the truth is that there is nothing to be gained in-game by holding on to the regions, especially not at the huge expense that we'd incurr by losing out on such a great deal for the UK.

Serbia is plotting against us.
Mark my words, they'll be all over us as soon as we let our guard down, and it'll be the fault of the administration when we've all been subjugated by Eastern Europe.
If they don't attack us right away, they'll get us after they take down the USA.
The reason that they're taking EoE and Y+H is because they have resources Serbia need, and because they're the regions with those resources that do not border USA.
I wish I could offer my unbiased opinion, but I simply cannot. To anyone from Eastern Europe, the main rule of thumb is "Never trust a Serbian."
I hope you all take this to heart and act with caution.
That's what I've been saying.
They've got a taste for English blood now, and they won't let up until they've got the rest of the country.
After that they'll be invading the US, but that won't be any of our concern because we'll be CONQUERED. They'll conquer us because you allowed them! This is very clearly a plot against us, and the blood will be on your hands, Jhorlin, when their true plans come to light.

Why is everyone thinking Serbia will plot against us? We have been good allies with Serbia for a long time, and I highly doubt they would lie their way into our country to attack us.
