[MoEd] Exclusive: Inside the CP Panel

Day 2,257, 22:15 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Department for Education

This article takes an exclusive look into the options available to the Country President (CP). Thanks to our current CP, Kravenn, for providing the screenshots and working with the MoEd to produce this article.

Campaign of the Day

The CP decides which battle will be the Campaign of the Day (CotD) or decide to choose none. The CP has no limit as to how often he or she can change it, unlike Military Units which are limited to 5 for daily orders. The CP can choose any active campaign in which the country or an ally is fighting, except for resistance wars against an occupying nation (i.e. when Canada controlled North West of England and the eUK started a resistance war).

Country Titles

The CP can choose up to five people who represent part of the eUK Cabinet. These people must be citizens of the eUK and are not notified through an alert when chosen. In this image, the Ministry of Education is vacant, showing the transition between former MoEd Sir Rex and current MoEd The Equalist. Clicking the “Propose a new title” button goes to the ticket page for the admins.

Main Panel

Similar to Congress, The CP has a list of options for proposing bills. Obviously, the list is different. The options are described below. Another difference is that the CP has an unlimited amount of proposals (unlike Congress that get two each) and the CP cannot resign from office.

New Citizen Message

The CP can propose a message that is sent out to new citizens. Here is the text box containing parts of the current message. As you can see, the message is limited to 1,500 characters.

Buy Building

The CP is the only citizen with the power to purchase hospitals and defense systems. While these were popular years ago, due to changes in game mechanics over time, these buildings have become relatively useless.

When the CP selects a building, this proposal appears. The CP chooses what region in the country to construct the building. Funds to purchase the building come directly out of the country account.

Mutual Protection Pack

The CP proposes Mutual Protection Packs (MPPs) with our allies. Each MPP lasts 30 days, and can be renewed whenever. When an MPP is renewed, it adds 30 days to the MPP (so if an MPP expires in 5 days, a new MPP will give that MPP 35 days). In most cases, MPPs are proposed two days before it expires. Each MPP costs 10000 GBP and can only be proposed to countries that exist on the map, not those who have been completely occupied.

Declare War and Peace

War can be declared if two criteria are met: The country must share a border with the targeted nation, and there must be no MPP between the two. Declaring war costs lots of gold.
To create a peace treaty, neither country can have a Natural Enemy (NE) against the other. In the peace treaty, the CP makes a request to the other country to pay gold for peace and the proposal is sent to Congress.

Airstrike

An airstrike is a declaration of war against a country that does not share a border. When the required health and currency needed to activate an airstrike is reached, the CP can propose a country to target.

Trade Embargo

A trade embargo prevents either country from selling products on the opposing country’s market. Each embargo lasts 30 days, and if both countries place an embargo on each other, it will last 60 days. One embargo can be proposed per day. This means that placing two embargos on the same country in two days will result in a 60 day embargo.

Natural Enemy
The CP, like Congress, can propose a NE. This opens up a war for free and adds a 10% bonus when fighting. A new NE can be changed every seven days.

Attacking a Region

By clicking the open campaigns in the military section, a CP can choose to attack a region as long as it shares a border. The CP has 24 hours to choose which region to attack. If no region is selected after the 24 period, a region is chosen by random.
