Join the new world

Fellow citizens,

a few weeks ago, eGermany finally became a member nation of PEACE. But logically there will be some (especially young or foreign) citizens, who do not know why we are in PEACE, and there may also be some who want to see us joining EDEN. However, eGermany shall not make this Historical fault twice, and I want to explain to my readers why.

On our long and troublesome way to PEACE eGermany had to suffer many bad things, had losses and was defeated many times. We were betrayed by „allies“, beaten on battlefield and politically, but we are still alive and growing day by day. We are on the right way, in the right alliance, have the right friends! Our painful past will be issue of the next part.

First some basic things about alliances:
Military alliances make wars, sometimes defensive ones, sometimes preventive ones, sometimes offensive ones. You help each other against different dangers, military or economy and in case of enemy-sabotage. eRepublik is a game which needs wars if the economy shouldnt collapse because of massive overproduction like atm. Wars make nations and alliances bind together, activate the crowd, like it was in eGermany in times of PTO or in eUSA in times of having just a few regions left, wars are necessary and very important in this game. And its still a game, thats something we shouldnt forget!

And in this game you dont fight only on battlefields, you fight also in the media. Imperialism, expansionism, propaganda etc. We can read a lot, a lot of warm words and bullshit. But EDEN has one funny advantage: They are writing about being the liberator of oppressed nations, so they start one resistance war after the other, but in fact this is diversionary tactic most times. They tell us, that this EDEN never attacked other countries except to conquer lossed regions back. And if one big membernation attacks another small and non-aggressive eNation, then it wasnt the alliance, then it was just one country (like in the ePoland-eLihtuania-case). And the funny part is: EDEN-propaganda doesnt need to lie, because EDEN is young (and was allways losing at the beginning), they hadnt the chance for a real attack till now. Thats a witty kind of propaganda. Maybe we should also rename our alliance from time to time? PEACE II, PEACE III? EDEN isnt something else than the successor of Atlantis. Sure, some countries switched sides (eGermany and eUK for example), but the main actors in this game are still the same...

But the big question is how you play this game, who you attack on battlefield, who you takeover politically and with what means. We as eGermans had the „pleasure“ to see many bad tactics in the past months. For me personally it makes a very big different if you win a war against an equivalent enemy by elaborate strategy, dedication of the population and massive use of gold (like PEACE did at first in the war vs eUSA or eUSA vs PEACE in the last days) or if you attack smaller eNations (like ePoland did with eLithuania some weeks ago) with different dirty tricks, like eSweden and ePoland did it against eGermany, even if we all were in the same sunken alliance Atlantis... But hey, wasnt it foreseeable with this name? 😉

And there is something very important for every alliance: loyalty and solidarity. You have to stay with your team, even if its losing. I, as fan from Eintracht Frankfurt, know what this means 😉 And like in football it is in this game. And really the last thing you should do is attack your teammembers, thats owngoals like eSweden scored one for Atlantis. Yes, PEACE had a not very successful time until last after months of epic victories. Conquered regions were lost of given back, some eNation had to deal with some internal problems, some others have to reorganize themselves and find again to old power. But in an alliance you find ways to deal with it, to solve these problems together. Within the team as well as with the enemy. Together we will be successful again like we all know and love our alliance. And now we have again the initiativ and we will use it right!

Here ends the prologue of this small series. In the next part I will tell you something about the eGerman past and how PEACE saved our ass several times... 😉
