New Observation of World War V

Hello, Dear American! This article is from eChina. This is the first time that I publish an article in English and please forgive my poor English.

There are too many report and analysis on the world situation and wars recently. Let's have a look at the current world situation from the point of view of macroscopical economy and distribution of high resources. Note, the following analysis is not only applied for current situation, but also for the coming V2 as it will not affect the world political map too much.

Summary of the World War

The World War V is continuous in the Asia-Europe Continent, but all the battles are not the key campaign which will affect the whole balance. We can say that the world war has already entered a new period for adjusting. So at first, let's count the main gain and loss of both sides at this moment.

For EDEN/Brolliance/SOL, their gains are considerable:
1. First of all, it is the reoccupation of the Hello Kitty (Heilongjiang). One hand, it improves the economy and military to a new level and promote the international status of China (It can be proved by a serious of successful battles which liberated Philippine from the Indonesia) . On the other hand, it heavily beat one of the main countries in the Phoenix, Hungary. This is more important and the economy and population of Hungary declined greatly.
2. At the same time, the short occupations of Hungarian lands in Europe also inflicted heavy losses on Hungary and even threat its survival for a while. Hungary loses the status of super power.
3. Wipe off the Bulgaria once and blow it heavily, which was a middle size country and almost achieved the population of 10 thousands.
4. Regain the high diamond regions of South Africa and Australia, which exposed the Brazil and Indonesia’s abilities not equal to their ambition.
5. Mitigate the tense relationship between USA and EDEN countries. And China walks closer and closer to the EDEN.

For Phoenix/Entente, their gains are not so remarkable, but they still are worth mentioning:
1. The Polish landing industry centers, including Rhone Alps & Brandenburg and Berlin, were occupied in the early of the WWV. The economy, population and military are beat greatly. There is no high resource region in Poland until now. To gain a high resource region is still Polish main strategic goal and is make him very passive. Poland moves towards the Britain and this is the consequence of this strategy.
2. The Serbian far eastern fortress and high iron region—Liaoning—is consolidated. Besides the Serbian native, a mass of people from other Phoenix lost regions immigrate into Liaoning, which makes the productivity and defense of Liaoning are stronger than ever before and its population increased from 6000 to about 11000. Serbia became the absolutely core of the Phoenix.
3. Germany and France regain a lot of domains. The relation between Entente countries and Phoenix countries are solidified.

High Resource Regions in the eRep

What is the future of the world situation? The effects of high resource regions to the economy and military contest between countries are deserved much more emphasis before the V2 coming. In the predictable V2, the high resource regions will play the same important role in the world.

Although there are lots of high resources above, but under the arrangement of extremely evil Admin, they are not well-proportioned geographically. For example, Russia, USA, Canada and Brazil are very very rich, and South Africa/Australia has the several precious high diamonds.

It is worth mentioning that the most important producing area of Titanium (Panzhihua in Sichuan, China) in the RL world has nothing in the eRep.

The total numbers of high resources in each country: Russia 15, USA 15, Canada 12, Brazil 8, Iran 6, Australia 5, Spain 5. There are at most 2 or 3 high resources in other main countries. There are only several countries owning multiple kinds of resources. So we should not underestimate the Serbian resolution of continuing to control Liaoning.

The iron and diamond are most precious among the above resources, which will be the focus in the current stage and in the future:

From the above data, the Heilongjiang recovered its productivities rapidly although it was damaged by the war and the Hungarian factories were squeezed by Chinese. It’s output of iron has exceeded that of USA’s leased territory from India, which has been carefully managed by Americans for several months. It can be imagine that if Liaoning is regained, which has more corporations and population than Hello Kitty, how big effects will be caused to USA and Serbia.

Now India demands the leased high iron region of Karnataka (maybe it is a cheat played by USA and India aiming Phoenix), it makes USA much more desirable to capture Liaoning (the detail can be found in my previous article India Demand its High Iron Back – Chinese Only). The total military cost of both sides is more than 40k gold in the last attack on Liaoning by USA via Shandong. It is striking and the resolutions of both sides are unshaken. In the predictable future, Liaoning will continue to be one of the main goal of both alliances.

Comparison of Alliances' Forces

We will not discuss the hot spots one by one here. The total force of each country is determined by the regions with high resources and high population. The following reports are the comparison between two alliances from the macroscopical view:

The above are economy and military statistics of main countries. EDEN/Bro/SOL remained much predominance before Phoenix completely occupied the Northeast of China in the beginning of this year. After that, there coming the baby boom of Brazil and Indonesia and the industry boom in Liaoning and Heilongjiang. Then Phoenix/Entente exceeded the EDEN/Bro/SOL side a little on the population and income. The total population gap between P/E side and E/B/S side was increased gradually in the long term.

But the gap did not increased further because the Phoenix/Entente is heavily beaten in the world war. The daily tax income of both sides defers only 300 golds and the P/E side advances only 8k golds per month. On the ability of total damage output (considering all population), there is very small difference between both sides. And P/E has only slightly advantage.

The victories of the war are more decided by the society and economy policies and the organization abilities of each country (including the Euro players of course). That is why P/E does not take the predominance currently and instead a little passive. We can recall that Phoenix launched massive attacks (including four high regions, Heilongjiang, Rhone Alps, Aquitaine and Northern Cape) in D911 to prevent E/B/S from attaching Liaoning. But it did not work well.

Prospect of the Future

The total force of Phoenix Alliance declined correspondingly in the World War V, which was aggressive before the war. The force of Entente countries and China increased gradually and the economy and military force of both sides achieve to a balance point in the rough. But the demands from some countries like Poland and USA for high resources are not satisfied yet, and some countries like Hungary urgently requires more development spaces. So the two alliances will be faced with the direct large-scale conflicts all over the world, or turn to their allies for the cooperation and leases of high resource regions.

For the former, the possible arisen scenarios include: Poland marches to Latin America (for example, Poland’s movement to UK and Spain’s penetration to Mexico); Romania and Croatia will continue to keep the current war intension to seek the new opportunities; Indonesia and Brazil will initiate the “Titanium War” again for the high diamond in the south hemisphere; Under the support of Phoenix, France will keep to threat its high wood territory controlled by Spain; The strategic goal of USA is still focused on the Liaoning (On one hand, most Chinese medias support the lease of Liaoning; on another hand, the strike on the Phoenix will be destructive if Liaoning is captured).

But the global massive campaigns cannot always achieve the strategic goals as the forces of both sides are almost same. Then how about another approach?

For the latter, the lease of ally’s high resource region is more safe and persistent than establish a colony in the hostile country. There is possibilities that Serbia or Hungary lease the lands from resource-rich Russia. Poland is likely to achieve a agreement with North American countries. USA still keep the hope of leasing the Karnataka for long term. And the diamond will converted to the titanium required by the weapon industry in the V2 and it will be the optional object negotiated by USA and Australia or South Africa……

The preconditions of above assumption are that there is medi-country which can swap regions flexibly or both countries directly enter the war state. But the integrated MPP system is very important to the collective security if the forces of both sides are very close (The MPP systems has established in the world war. The consecutive sign of protocols between Sweden and Spain, USA, Romania, Croatia is a supplement of the system). The cancel of the MPPs is very risky and it is the biggest obstacles in the lease between allies.

The two approaches cannot completely address the difficulties and break the current balance. Then the most possible scenario is that both sides continue partial battles and internal adjusting, and the current deadlock will be kept (It proves that my previous analysis and prediction World War Entered into New Phase – Chinese only still works). Only the far-sighted and passional politicians and commanders are able to lead the bored citizens to write new pages in the history of eRepublik!

世界大战新观察

最近关于世界局势和近期战争的具体报导和分析已经很多了，让我们从宏观经济和高资源分布的角度，来分析一下当前的世界局势。先说明一下，下述分析不仅对当前适用，即使V2 近期到来也不大会对世界政治版图造成太大的影响。

世界大战影响小结

第五次世界大战尽管当前在欧亚大陆仍然冲突不断，但目前都并非是具有全局性影响的战斗，所以应该说大战已经告一段落，或者说是进入了调整期。所以此时我们可以首先来盘点一下双方的主要得失。

对于EDEN/Brolliance/SOL来说，获得的成果相当可观：
1. 首先必须提到的是，黑龙江HelloKitty的收复，一方面使得中国的经济和军事实力上了一个台阶，提升了中国的国际地位（从近日中国连续击败印尼解放菲律宾的战斗可见，中国的实力稳步增长）；另一方面，更重要的是沉重打击了Phoenix的主要国家匈牙利，使其经济和人口产生了极大倒退。
2. 与此同时，对匈牙利欧洲本土的短暂占领，也沉重打击了匈牙利，甚至一度威胁到匈牙利的存亡，使其失去了超级大国的地位。
3. 一度将人口近万的中等国家保加利亚从地图上抹去，对其各方面造成沉重打击。
4. 恢复了南非和澳大利亚的高钻产地，充分暴露了巴西和印尼的力不从心。
5. 缓和了美国与EDEN国家的关系，中国也与EDEN越走越近。

对Phoenix/Entente来说，成果相对没那么辉煌，但仍然值得一提：
1. 前期攻克了波兰的采集业中心Rhone Alps和Brandenburg and Berlin，沉重打击了波兰的经济、人口和军事能力。至今波兰仍没有高资源地区，仍然以谋求一个高资源产地作为主要目标，使其在战略上非常被动。我们看到最近波兰向英国方向的移动，就是这种战略的具体体现。
2. 巩固了塞尔维亚的远东堡垒和高铁产地——辽宁。除了塞尔维亚本国移民外，Phoeni x国家失陷地区的大量人口被动员移居到辽宁，使得辽宁的生产能力和防御能力空前提高，人口从战前的6000左右上升到11000左右，塞尔维亚成为Phoenix的绝对核心。
3. 德国、法国等恢复了大量的领土，Entente国家与Phoenix的关系得到了加强。

eRep高资源产地

今后的世界局势会如何发展？在V2版本推出之前，高资源地区对各国经济和军事角力的影响再怎么强调也不为过。在可预见的V2，高资源地区仍然会发挥同等重要的作用。

尽管上述高产资源为数不少，但是在万恶的admin安排下，它们在地理上的分布非常不均匀，例如俄罗斯、加拿大、美国和巴西极其富饶，以及南非和澳大利亚的高钻等。值得一提的是，RL中世界上最主要的钛资源产地四川攀枝花在eRep中居然啥也没有。

各国高资源总数是：俄罗斯15、美国15、加拿大12、巴西8、伊朗6、澳大利亚5、西班牙5。其他主要国家一般最多也就2、3个高级资源，具有多种资源类型的国家更是屈指可数，所以大家不要低估塞尔维亚继续占领辽宁的决心。

上述资源中，铁矿和钻石最为稀缺，是现阶段及将来总体上争夺最为激烈的资源：
V1中最为重要的高铁产地分布及其产量
V2中将转为钛的高钻产地分布及其产量

从上面的数据可见，尽管黑龙江遭到了战争破坏，战后匈牙利企业受到挤压，但仍然迅速恢复了生产力，铁矿产量已经远远超过美国已经用心经营了数月的印度租借地。可以想见，工厂和人口数量大于黑龙江的辽宁如果被收复，其对于美国与塞尔维亚经济的影响有多大。

而如今印度要求美国归还其租借的高铁产地卡纳塔克邦（当然这也可能是美印与火鸡玩的一个花招），令美国夺取辽宁的愿望更加强烈（详见本刊特别报道印度要求收回美占高铁产地）。上一次美国借道山东对辽宁的进攻，双方花费的军费总额达到了4万g以上，令人咋舌，可见攻守双方的决心。可以预见的将来，辽宁仍然会是两大阵营争夺的最主要目标之一。

联盟实力综合对比

这里不再一一点评未来双方争夺的焦点地区。高资源和高人口的地区决定了eRep 中各国的实力，让我们从宏观上观察一下双方的实力对比情况：

上面是主要国家的经济实力和军事潜力统计。今年年初Phoenix完全占领中国东北之前，EDEN/Bro/SOL阵营还占有很大优势。此后以巴西、印尼等国的婴儿潮以及辽宁、黑龙江的工业发展为代表，Phoenix/Entente阵营在人口和收入上略微超过了E/B/S阵营。相当长一段时间内，在总人口上P/E阵营仍然在逐渐加大与E /B/S阵营的距离。

但由于Phoenix/Entente受到本次世界大战的打击，这种差距并未进一步拉开，双方日收入相差不到300g，这样P/E方每月大约仅领先8000g左右。最终的总体伤害输出能力上(按照所有人口计算)，双方的差距也非常小，P/E仅占有极小的优势。

在这种情况下，战争的胜利将更多地取决于双方各国的社会制度、经济制度和组织协调能力（当然也包括了欧元党的数量）。所以目前P/E整体上并未占到优势，反而略有一些被动。可以回想Phoenix当时在D911为阻止E/B/S进攻辽宁，进行了大规模的攻击行动（同时攻击4个高资源产地，包括Heilongjiang, Rhone Alps, Aquitaine and Northern Cape），但最终也未能奏效。

未来局势展望

本次世界大战使得战前咄咄逼人的Phoenix联盟实力相对下降，Entent e国家以及中国实力逐渐增强，两大阵营的经济和军事实力基本达到了一个平衡点。
但是波兰、美国等大国对高资源产地的诉求并未得到满足，匈牙利等也迫切需要谋求发展空间，这样双方要么在世界各地面临直接的大型冲突，要么转而将目光投向盟国寻求合作与租借高资源地区。

对于前者，比较可能出现的情况包括：波兰挺进拉丁美洲（例如波兰向英国方向的推进和西班牙对墨西哥的渗透），罗马尼亚和克罗地亚继续维持一定战争强度以便寻求新的突破口，印尼、巴西等会在南半球谋求高钻资源再次发起“钛战争”，法国在Pho enix支持下仍然会对西班牙占领的其高木领土保持威胁，美国的战略目标则仍然锁定辽宁（一方面中国舆论大多支持对外租借，另一方面攻下辽宁对Phoenix的打击是接近毁灭性的）……

但是由于双方实力相当，全球范围内直接的大规模会战并不一定能够达到战略目的，那么另外一条途径又如何呢？

对于后者，租借盟国的高资源产地比起在敌对国家建立殖民地更加安全和持久。
塞匈租借资源丰富的俄罗斯领土的可能性是存在的，波兰也有可能与北美国家达成一定默契，而美国还存在继续长期租借卡纳塔克邦的希望，钻石作为V2中将转为武器工业所必需的钛资源，也将成为美国向澳大利亚或南非协商的选项之一……

上述设想可行的前提是具有可灵活换地的中介国家或者是双方直接进入敌对状态，但是在双方实力相当时，完整的MPP体系对于集体安全非常重要（本次世界大战时MPP体系已经基本形成，最近我们看到瑞典相继与西班牙、美国、罗马尼亚和克罗地亚等的协议也属于上述体系的完善），解除MPP是非常冒险的行动，所以这也是租借的最大障碍。

两条途径都无法完全解决问题与打破现有平衡，那么最大的可能结果是双方继续在全球范围进行局部的战役和内部的调整，仍然保持相持的状态（回想起来，本刊一个月前的分析和预测世界大战进入新阶段仍然具有参考意义）。只有具有远见和激情的政治家和指挥官才能够发挥其想象力率领已经对游戏厌倦了的民众揭开eRepbulik历史新的一页！
