The Introduction
With the introduction and Home Affairs covered, it’s time now to start on foreign affairs. Foreign Affairs is always a good topic to write about as everyone has an opinion on the subject. Remember to comment any of your opinions and advice!
The Department of Foreign Affairs
The department will be made up a three ministers. At the top will be the Minister of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), who will work with the Chief Ambassador (CA) and the Vice President (VP) to ensure that our foreign relations are as strong as ever.
Jobs within the Department
The MoFA will coordinate with the CA and VP to spread our ambassadors far and wide around the eWorld. They will work with the current ambassador programme, however instead of the MoFA having to deal with this alone the CA will tackle that job as their sole purpose. The CA will be instructed by the MoFA as to where ambassadors should be sent, and the message that they should take with them. The CA will also look after the ambassadors who come to our country. The CA will inform them of who does what and a basic update on what is going on at the time in the country.
The MoFA will also work with the VP to organise MPP’s and treaties with other countries. They will also work directly with other countries government so that we can build stronger relations with our neighbours and foreign brothers.
Neutrality – Is it worth it?
In the beginning of my time in eSwitzerland I believed that being neutral was the best thing for the country. We are surrounded by nations who support sides so if we picked a side we would be wiped. However over time I have seen treaties broken, and our nation stepped on time and time again. So i say we should end our neutrality and stand up for ourselves.
As a small nation we cannot defend ourselves against a stronger enemy, however we need to find some nations who will stick by us and help us gain the respect we deserve. I do not know which side we should take, that’s for the people to decided. Maybe we should make a new side in all of thise. Only time will tell.
Treaties and MPP’s
We are in the middle of Europe and border numerous countries. The countries we border lack some of the resources that we have, and that makes them interested in taking our land. We need to carry on with the treaties if we are going to gain anything from having our regions conquered over and over again. The MoFA will work directly with the country or countries involved to ensure that the treaties are maintained.
Along with this we will need to protect ourselves with MPP’s so that it puts nations off from attacking us so freely. We should try and gain MPP’s with any country that will accept us as an MPP ally. We have the finances to achieve this so whoever will sign an MPP with us, we should take them up in their offer.
The Conclusion
Well the Department of Foreign affairs will work towards ensuring that the greatness and sincerity is spread around the eWorld so that we can gain more international friends and allies who we can work with to succeed in this ever changing world.
