[Ashwamedh] Why I believe that CoT Is Right For India?

Disclaimer : This article, by the way, is NOT an ANTI-EDEN article.I do not see TWO as being much different from EDEN either. This is a PRO CoT article ... explaining why I think they are the best alliance around for India.

There has been a lot of discussion over where things are heading and what has happened in the not-so-distant past. We have (till now) technically stayed neutral, focusing on our own battles rather than supporting anyone else, till our place in the scheme of things is resolved.

Whilst I have seen a number of good guys from Croatia attempt to make sense of this situation and bring about status quo - this unfortunately is not possible. After parting ways acrimoniously not so long ago, and being assisted whole heartedly by our Bulgarian friends (not Serbs mind you) - it would not only be an affront to them, it would also be taking a step backwards. When we take a call, we have to stick with it - for better or for worse.

Whilst many of you know me as a person who heavily leans towards Bulgaria and Indonesia, some probably do not understand the reasons. Let me explain why, so you have my point of view - straight from the horse's mouth! 🙂





All the time I have spent in-game, I have stayed true to my friends and have never beat about the bush. (because meaningful relationships are the ones we make with REAL people and NOT with alliances). I have been direct and have been unafraid to speak my mind. Sometimes this has led me to oppose the government but I have done so quietly and have felt it better to help my friends rather than go about bad mouthing the decision makers (or trying to influence others against them) After all, we play for India... and whether we like each other or not, we have to work together for the common good.



Thus begins the short story of when Bulgaria were in EDEN and I was pro Iran, who were in PHOENIX! I had a number of friends in Iran and they had helped us in important RWs while freeing us from Dioist (and later - Abuzar ruled) Pakistan. WIndfall has just come to India to foster our bonds and seek resources in India. To get to India, Bulgaria had to get through Iran and this led to me fighting for Iran against Bulgaria.

I have to say windfall was quite courteous despite me tanking for my friends. Unlike most nations and people, who like to think the world is either black or white (you are my friend OR you are my enemy) ... windfall 's acceptance of the grey that compelled me (and a few of our fighters) was noteworthy.

This was the beginning of us getting to know Bulgaria better.



We know how that turned out later! 🙂... with Bulgaria renting regions from us and paying a decent rent as also being helpful and respectful in all possible ways. This was helped no doubt, by them having a visionary in the form of eDarkangel at the helm. Love him or hate him, there is no escaping the fact that he did instill values and discipline in Bulgaria and brought about a revolution that has taken them to the top of the game.



Our bonds with Bulgaria since then grew stronger exponentially until the Turkey debacle which led to Bulgaria leaving EDEN. they started their own alliance with small countries who were labelled "Bulgarian puppets" and the alliance - Circle Of Trust (CoT) was ridiculed and deemed a failure.

What they did not count on was the fact that Bulgarians have had their priorities in the right place...and instead of begging about to get strong nations on board, they decided to make the "small puppets" strong nations on their own.



This began with Chile - where they interacted with the Chileans and found ways on bringing about the boom. They set about helping Chile with all possible tools for retention and education. They gathered funds and food in a massive drive for the babies that were expected to join. They left aside their own battles for their regions (while they were getting beat by Turkey) and instead fought to ensure Chile keeps its last region for congress.

Can anyone forget Flausino starting the very first airstrike in history - on Chile's behalf to free it and its neighbouring nations. Ok, so in the end it failed spectacularly, but would any other nation make such an effort?

Needless to say it bore fruit...and the results speak for themselves. Is Chile a minor "puppet" nation now?

This has been repeated with success with Peru and Mexico and THIS to me is the single MOST IMPORTANT attribute that CoT displays.
They display true brotherhood. They STAND by their little countries without talking damage. They help first and THEN make the nation strong. They actually INVEST in risk and make small nations feel wanted.

If you are an active Indian, you would have seen the programs we have begun for BB where we have friends from Bulgaria actively giving us ideas... actively volunteering. We have friends from Indonesia coming along as well and supporting us.

(I remember JustNosfe (Romanian) who did try it for a while (full credit to him) but he was alone with me, and our attempts just did not have the energy, time and the massive support that the Bulgarian Baby Boom campaign has.)

Bulgarians BELIEVE we can be big and they are actually PARTICIPATING AGGRESSIVELY in helping us achieve that with lots of advice and tools.

The energy I see, the participatrion from everyone.. is a far cry from the dead, soul-less, deal mongering India that was a few months ago.

Is it not natural that I admire and support Circle Of Trust.
