I finally reworked Vol 2 No 2 to fit with current game mechanics. It covers a very common problem with new players. Before they know it, they are broke and not knowing what to do... they often quit. Pass this article on to all the new players out there, help keep them from "The Trap"!

Special note to the reference to gaining a SS Medal in 3 days: In Japan, to train at all 4 Training Centers... It costs 2.87 Gold each day.
Weights Room - Free
Climbing Center - 0.19
Shooting Range - 0.89
Special Forces Center - 1.79
DEFINITELY BUY the Training Contract for 30 days if you have all 4 centers!
Cost is only 0.28 Gold a day. Saving you 2.58 Gold per day... Saving you 77.49 Gold. At a cost of 55 Gold you totally pay 7.74 in daily training costs
+ 55 Gold in Training Contract = 62.74 Gold spent... instead of 77.4 Gold,
BUT you are gaining 90 strength a day at that point and gain 270 strenth every 3 days... 250 needed for Super Soldier. You can earn 10 Super Soldier medals during that time = 50 Gold. Total gain from this method is 64.66 Gold every 30 days. You need your Training Facilities upgrades.
If no Training Contract is offered you spend 27.4 Gold over your 50 Gold Bonuses from SS. Roughly a Gold a day (actually less). Then you have to rely on selling your Raw Materials and Supply to achieve funding to pay for training. Why strength? Why so important? that is discussed in another NOW is Zen tutoral... soon to come!

Very good article, but you have forgotten some issues.
1. Never buy a production factory because of a very bad return on investment (ROI).
weapon ROI : Q1 - Q4 never (losing money on each working day), Q5 : 67 years, Q6 : 25 years, Q7 19 :years
2. raw factories may be comfortable, but you don't need them:
food ROI : minimum 3 years
weapon raw ROI : minimum 1 year
food raw ROI : minimum 2 years
Great article, but I have one problem with it.
You say to upgrade *all* your training grounds so it will only take 3 days to get a SS medal. But, to train at all of them every day costs 8.34 Gold in 3 days. If you spend the SS gold to pay for it, you're still going over by 3.34 gold, which is ~405 JPY (according to current MM rates) each day. That's way higher than my daily pay.
So, how could you sustain a training rate like that without buying gold?

Actually, it is a rather form of Gold Farm. But you need Gold to be able to do it.

Yes! The return to investment on weapons factories for a new player is not worth it, some really want to pursue it. I encourage going for training upgrades, especially the free one!
NOTE:
Most players that put the level of time and energy to upgrade all 4 facilities to the max have spent RL money to get the Gold to do it. I have, and don't pretend that I haven't. This game definitely costs to play, but I enjoy it. A small treat to myself, so if I spend a little RL money every few months during a good promo... its worth it to me.
