Hello citizens!

One of the biggest problem about newbies (often called babies, "young" citizens, new citizens) is they don't actually know what can they do with golds. If you're one of new citizens, read this carefully in order to learn how can you improve your e-life with golds.

1. Most common gold spendings

a) Money exchange

After people recieve gold, they usually exchange it for local currency (CHF's in this case). They do that so they can buy weapons and food. If you're unpatient and you find it nesecarry, for example you're in chance of getting battle hero medal but ran out of food, tanks and local currency (often abrbevated "cc"- country currency), then it's understandable, but, if possible, do not exchange all your golds, exchange minimum possible. There are a lot of giveaways from our goverment and sometimes citizens, you can use that, there is usually no need if you're new player to buy tanks and food, just browse some news and you'll find "donation-article".

b) Energy-bar buyings

Well, this is not that common, but this should definetly not be thing you need to buy. You should buy energy bars only when in "race" for battle hero, or when there is discount. Every active discounts is usually shown on erepublik home page.Energy bars are not necesarry at all. Also, if you recieve some energy bars from erepublik (like they gave some on anniversary), do not use them, but save them for homeland battles of high priority or as I said it, when trying to become Battle Hero.

c) Founding newspaper

More and more newbies firstly (after they realize this possiblity) buy newspaper. Newspaper are ideal for making communication with other citizens from country. I'd , personally, recommend you this if you plan to be active journalist. If not so, better save those two .

d) Founding military unit, party

I've seen a lot of people (they're like between newbies and experienced ones) to found their own party or military unit (often abbrevated "MU"). This is not good move if you're not that known citizen and don't have much relations. You must be very authoritative in order to lead job of military commander or party president good. It's good to consider making with your goverment, maybe your country doesn't need another unit or party.

e)Founding a company

Founding a company is not what it was before long time. Having a company before meant money, now it doesn't. Admins added a way too much qualities of weapon and food. If you decide to make RAW-producing company, it's still not good. Price of RAW on Marketplace is very low. Have in mind you also have to pay out workers. Founding a company is wasting of money (unless you have literally tons of golds to buy best quality).

Okay, we spoke enough about some common gold spendings that are usually not good option. Let's speak about things you should definetly buy.

2. Upgrading training grounds,
Upgrading training grounds will save you a lot of time before getting medal and 5 with it, but firstly, it will strong you faster, and that's important on the fighting ground.

Firstly, select "My places" from the main tab:

After that, select "Training grounds" as in the picture below:

Your next task is to select upgrading mark (up-arrow):

Now, we have to choose which training ground we want to upgrade. I highly recommend upgrading first training ground, as his use is free. Incereasing quality doesn't increase price, but amount of strength you get per each training. On picture below, we can see that I have upgraded my first two training grounds .

As an example, I decided to take show you how does it work when you decide to upgrade (Shooting range).

Look again and check the numbers:
1. - Represents the amount of strength you get per each training.
2.-This is the price.
So, e.g. if you decided to upgrade shooting range to level 2 (building with small red roof), you will have to spend 20 gold for purchase, and by each training you will get 10 strength. Just to mentoin that this buidling requires to pay in order to train.
To ugrade training ground, select button upgrade. It's very important, and always keep in mind to upgrade training grounds only when there are discounts for them. Those discounts are not small, they're even 50% of standard price. Adminstrators add this often, you just have to be patient. Also, never downgrade your training ground, you will get refund that is half of the price you paid, it just doesn't worth.
2a. Signing training contracts
I made this "2a" because it is connected to text above.
Training contracts decrease price of you need to pay if you want to train. To remind you, every training ground requires money except first one.
They're not available always, but only when admins add they, and it's not that often, but it is worth of waiting. "Advertise" of that looks like this (picture below):

To buy, you simply have to click on the image (not this mine, but one on home page if there is possibility), and you will have look of eRepublik "store":


Here you can buy special items only with gold.

This is enough about training, next chapter is about Rocket factory.

3. Rocket factory
What are rocket factories?
Rocket factories allow you tu produce rockets, powerfull destructive items used on battleground, that make massive damage in single shot and takes no health while using. You can make one rocket per day. This is ideal if you want to be strong warrior and battle hero hunter.

The beginning process is the same as for upgrading training ground, however you will have to choose "Advanced building" option, like on image below, although, if you don't own rocket factory, you will have to, of course, buy it. As I bought mine long time ago, I can't be sure how I done it and I am not in ability to take pictures of that, but I will explain upgrading an existing rocket factory.:

After this, choose the upgrading arrow:

Click again on arrow and following screen appears:

1. Let's say I decided to upgrade my factory to quality of 3. It makes 500 000 damage per single shot.
2. I will have to pay 90 .
3. To produce one rocket, as I can't produce them for free, I will have to "sacrifice" (spend) following weapons and 500 .
And that's the way.
To produce rocket, you'll have to go in My places option, in main tab:

You're there, now take a look at bottom of the page:

It shows I have enough weapons and money (I didn't upgrade my factory to quality of 3, that was example). I just have to press "Build a rocket".
As the training grounds, never upgrade/buy rocket factory unless there is discount, which looks like following image:

Remember you can buy only one rocket per day.
