Namaskar

Hi fellow Indians,
New Minister of Foreign Affairs here.

Here's my interview with Shawtyl0w.

What were some of your previous jobs?
-When i joined erepublik i wasn't interested in the political module but I wanted to become a captain or commander of a MU. for the first two years i was a fighter and didn't even try to get into congress because i though it would be to much work. After two years of fighting and trying to play with the economic module a bit i decided to run for congress. Once i joined politics I quickly became a deputy Minister of Defense. After this experience I've held many positions in the governments.
- Minister of Defense
- Minister of Foreign Affairs
- Minister of Education
- Presidential Advisor
- Vice president
- President
I've also been deputy in several of these positions when I felt like i didn't have enough time to perform well but could still assist the at that time minister. Other than my positions in National politics I've also been active in Orion HQ for about two years now. I've been an advisor for many months, but also held positions such as (deputy) Secretary of Foreign Affairs and (deputy) Secretary General. Currently I'm one of the most experienced eNL politicians and i guess you could say i'm well connected in the international political landscape.

How long have you been SG?
-I've been SG for one month now but I've been SG before 😒miley: we've for SG elections every month and the most active player who is interested often gets the job.

What do you like best about serving in alliance HQ?
-I like that fact that you are working together with other goverments and the strategic aspect of international politics is very interesting. Eventhough Orion is somewhat of a 'puppet alliance' being pro-asteria and all, following de international developments is more exciting than anything that happens in eNL national politics.

How did the alliance start?
-The alliance started way back with a lot of different members, Canada, Colombia, France, Iran Peru Sweden and shortly after the Netherlands joined the alliance. It was at the time some other alliances broke down in 2015.
Currently some of these members are in different alliances while others are 'neutral' to use the currently fashionable word.

How did the alliance survive so long?
-Ever since the formation of the Alliance we've been trying to build personal relationships with every alliance member. This meant that we've become brothers in a way. Everytime a brother left all for different reasons they left without the alliance holding a grudge against them. Eventhough we've been at war with former members we still have our personal connections and sometimes speak though in-game PMs, Telegram or Discord. Throughout the years we've seen our alliance become weaker and currently we're just four. The four countries that currently form Orion, Canada, Cuba, Estonia and the Netherlands are all very close and we try to work together as much as we can. The big secret really is friendship!

Tell us about Netherlands, Cuba, Estonia and Canada.
-I'll start with the Netherlands as this is where I know the most about. We are a very small community both in politics and in terms of acrive fighters. We've always been very protective of our community in order to prevent PTO attemps. To reduce ristk we've had a 'democratic dictator' installed for a pretty long time. Currently we are normal democracy with a few players taking turns leading the country. Our government remains the same almost every month which is why everyone knows what they can expect from us. We've close to our Orion allies and currently enjoy a training war with Canada in our core regions.

-Canada is a country who also has a group of politicians who control the country for a long time now. Because of this Canada changed from being unpredictable when lead by e.g. Rylde to a very calculated country. This is also due to their great performance in the last resource wars where they won good bonusses. Currently Canada is closely working together with Romania and Serbia with whom they have a rental agreement. Like a mentionned before they are also involved in a training war with the Netherlands.

-Moving on to Cuba, they used to be the problem child of Orion when it comes to internal politics as the political parties were divided between Cuban, Spanish, Serbian and Turkish players. More recently they've become more stable thanks to the efforts of Janty F and his governments. Their current president xXxAstarothxXx is performing very well and recently managed to strike down an attack from Venezuela while at the time Cuba was involved in a training war with Mexico. Cuba is surrounded by countries that from time to time try to attack them which can be hard but they've always kept their heads high and waited patiently(or not at all) for Orion and their allies to help them.

-Last but not least Estonia, the latest addition to Orion. They are lead by Mixliarder who is some sort of dictator over there. A very capable and well connected player who has become a welcome addition to Orion HQ every since Estonia joined the alliance. Estonia is very active seeking training war partners and helping allies all over the eworld. For a long time they had a training war with Finland which finaly ended and gave Estonia the opportunity to look for other options. Currently about to close their latest training war with the Philippines they will start a new one together with Japan. The estonian people are always trying to help their allies and when called for battle theyr often show up in minutes.

-All together a great bunch of countries with leaders that are all communicating with each other all day every day!

How does alliance supply work?
-Currently we don't hae a alliance supply system in place. One of my projects which started two months ago when I was SG of Orion as well was setting up a joint CO fund which could also be used for supplies of soldiers. We're still working details out as every country has a slightly different opinion on such as fund. As we speak every country has their own supply system in place. These work individually from each other but some times supplies are offered to every Orion member by one country. Recently I as Minister of Defense of the Netherlands have set up a supply system for the campaign Cuba vs. Venezuela. Supplies were handed out to those who fought for Cuba.

What are Orion's relations with Pacifica and Asteria?
-As you probable know Orion is a Pro-Asterian alliance. We've always supported them and in return received their support. Some of our members also had strong ties with several Pacifica members and Orion HQ always tries to stay connected to Pacifica as well. Currently our alliance members have MPPs with both Asteria and Pacifica. I would say that our relations with both alliances are very good at this moment. We are all small countries and we realize that we can be easy targets. In order to not always rely on Asteria we have to position ourselves well and continuously show ourselves in international politics. We're currently analysing our MPPs in order to slighty reposition ourselves and ensure our safety while still being able to do have plenty of wars we can focus on.

How is Orion doing now? Are you looking to expand membership?
-Orion is doing very well right now, All members are in control of their country, Canada is well protected because of the rental agreements with Romania and Serbia, Cuba has just won the war with Venezuela and is discussing their next move. Estonia is moving to Japan and the Netherlands has invited Canada for a training war. The bond between our members is as strong as ever which was clearly visible when Cuba was attacked and every country contributed by fighting for them. Of course we are looking for expansion of our alliance but we're picky. There are some requirements that have to be met.
