Welcome back.

Ten lucky citizens joined the vCP’s Jamaican Adventure Tour in round one. Hail Astrid tried to as well, but missed the bus (which, trust me, was a blessing in disguise given his two selections). And as our weary travellers returned from a busy day of typical Jamaican chillin’ out maxin’ relaxin’ all cool, they had some exciting tales to tell. Here’s a summary.

How Round 1 went…
Four people found special items. One lucky bast… so-and-so found two.

Eight people had … er … mishaps during the day. Some unlucky bast… so-and-sos found more than one.

Three people discovered the infamous Blue Mountain ‘herb gardens’ and … er … fell asleep. So they miss the next go.

Three people discovered more than they bargained for in Discovery Bay, and have to miss a turn while they visit the hospital to sort out a ‘personal’ issue.

One person discovered a key item in the Red Stripe brewery, but then drank so much of the local brew that they have to miss a turn while they sleep it off.

Most dramatically, SirMorton and Apples fell to their death off Negril Lighthouse. Or at least they would have done, if they hadn’t bribed me to stay in SirMorton hadn’t been such an accomplished rock-climber, who managed to save not only himself but also Apples on the way down. They’ll miss the next turn while they calm their nerves a little, perhaps with a rum punch and some local produce. Apples is particularly shaken … he’s currently hunched up, rocking back and forth, muttering “Don’t go to 5! Don’t go to 5!”.

why is the bus going backwards?

Round 2…

Unless disaster struck and you were told to miss a turn, it’s now time to make your three selections for Round 2.

If you missed round 1 and still want to join the tour, feel free. To be honest, you’re probably at an advantage. Just pick three locations from the map and list them in the comments below. (The full rules - not that there are very many - are in the first article).

There are a few clues in the summary above. The harrowed faces on your co-tourists suggest that you would be wise to pay attention to them.

Of the 21 locations on the Grand Tour, 15 have been visited. Three had special items, four had traps and nine were benign. Our tourists showed a special talent for picking ones the ones with traps - eight people hit traps in round one. On the plus side, there are still six unvisited locations. Two have items, two have traps and two are benign. So the odds are … OK.

To help you work out what to do in this round (if anything), here’s what you did last time…

Absinthe1844 - visited 7, 13 & 20 - found an item - found a trap (miss this turn)
North Scale - visited 1, 2 & 3 - found an item

CC - visited 10, 11 & 18 - nothing exciting happened

Sir Charles Moncrieff - visited 6, 7 & 11 - found an item - found a trap (miss this turn)
