{eIre DoI} Food Aid to the UK

Day 3,506, 00:14 Published in Ireland Ireland by University of Ireland

Greetings eIreland,

While we tend to bring you news from the battle front, today's episode will also include news from the home front. For this up to date home front news, we are joined by the lovely Meow McGee...

Meow McGee, wondering how his friend Jeremy Catspaw is handling the war :'(

Congress

Currently Congress elections are taking place in eIreland and soon the voting will be double checked. We know we speak for the majority of eIreland, in thanking those who served this term. You all played your part in ensuring Ireland was safe and made sure the government was kept in check. As citizens of this great nation, we have seen what rouge laws can do, we can look toward our neighbour and see what a bad congress can do to a nation.

Out going Congress office party

When the new congress takes office in approx 25hrs time, they will have the job of finding an end to the UK/Ireland war and looking at the ways to carry on through the remainder of this CP term. While they are stepping into a role which is on a high, there is always a chance of some form of back lash.

Food Bonuses

With the recent victory in Yorkshire & Humberside, eIreland has managed to gain 100% Food bonuses. This will in-turn allow Irish growers to increase their production levels, resulting in bumper crops this season. However while the Irish government is trying to look after the citizens, our near neighbours UK are facing a massive famine with the loss of 65% of their food production, all because of their government actions.

There have been reports of the Irish government offering 1,000 Q1 food for any UK citizen who requires it (Need to comment below 'Food'), as the government understands the hardships the UK populace might be facing due to their elected officials.

Immigration

Reports coming out of the government offices are of a large increase in people from the UK seeking refugee status in eIreland. So far their has been 5 inquiries by UK citizens asking the Irish government for information about citizenship. In response to these inquiries, the Irish Congress will vet all applications, however their has been refugee camps set up in occupied regions, to ensure that all political, economical and social refugees are well looked after.

International News

Now with the international/war section of our news. We are joined by our frontline reporter John Simpson once again...

John Simpson with the Irish Red Cross helping starving UK families

Even after CP Rusty D's Open letter to the UK congress, the congress members of the UK, voted down a chance to declare a 'No NE' law and help pave the way for peace to take place. With 18 votes to the No and only 10 votes to the Yes it appears that their own congress is happy with being wiped. However when Rusty D was approached about this, his reply was a simple one 'We have seen the turmoil and lack of care from some of their congress in the past. But Irelands offer will still stand with the new congress that will soon be sworn in'. So is there still hope for peace? only time will tell.

Another great showing by some fine Irish soldiers in Leeds

With some devastating fire power laid down by the likes of A Lena, Nerusia, BiednyMis and Technician to name a few. eIreland was able to secure Leed's, this allowed them to obtain 100% food bonuses. While the initial war was not about resources, with the UK's lack of apparent peace plans, Ireland has continued to wreak havoc over the battle fields.

One of the many images available to the public showing the UK's handiwork with France

Taken from the UK CP newspaper

While there is apparently many more private screen shots available to show cohesion between the UK and French forces for the AS on the UK (even one rumored to be about money transferred to the French military for the battle), the two above are public viewing on different sources over the internet. They show a bit different picture then the one current positions are saying to try and get outside help. When we approached Rusty D on his comments about this, his reply was very short indeed "I will not comment on rumor's, I have nothing to say about private messages, you have the public ones, so you make up your mind. I will not reveal my sources or put them in harms way".

Options available to the Irish Military

As one can see from the above map, eIreland now is in a position where it can easily reach out to 4 of the remaining 7 regions belonging to eUK. Some of them carry resource bonuses (alot which Ireland already has), some hold large holding companies of UK citizens (NE's will effect the WaM) and some are on the door step to the UK capital.

Which direction the Irish military will take is unknown, but one thing is clear, the Irish military will keep showing restraint in their battles and will keep trying to help the displaced citizens of eUK to ensure they are not effected by the rash actions of their government and congress.
