[CP] Farewell CODE
Aras an Uachtarain
Yesterday, eIreland has decided to leave CODE alliance. It was a decision made by a big majority of Congressmen which is a clear sign that we all felt that the changes are needed. My original plan was to wait with any kind of articles in order to avoid the opportunity for any kind of a bad blood, but since several articles have already been written it's been decided to publish the official and true version of what happenned. I'm not going to talk about all the issues and problems. Each alliance has that.
The situation eIreland find itself in is a quite awful. We're losing our players, we're losing active packers. We've been left with only a few people still clicking. Our motivation for the game has been decreasing for a while. We couldn't find ourselves some goal which would make the players stay. I believe its similar in the other countries as well, but I'm not a leader of the others. We all need something to fight for, something to believe in. Ireland is a special country. From the outside it may seem like there are just two or three players, but if you'd give it a detailed look you'll see a lot of people engaging in media, economy, politics. We still care about getting everyone something to play for. What's common for all those different people is loyalty. There's been times when we voted things we knew its gonna lead us to the wipe. There's been decisions we've made which would put others before ourselves. By 'we' I mean the Irish Congress and its citizens. We still make decisions together, we still value democracy. I'm saying this because I wanted to send a clear picture about how the decision was made.
eIreland was one of the founders of CODE Alliance. It's been something we always wanted to see happen after spending years fighting against Asteria. We've been wiped, our friends were wiped. We've been through good and bad things together, but what we always had was a respect for each others. We've been on the same side with Croatia and Albania since the game started for our country.
When CODE was founded it started as a non-formal alliance which we didn't really like, but it seemed better than nothing. Over the time, when problems would happen alliance has adopted new organizational strategy. It was formed ingame, it was given a name, eventually HQ was added as well. There were a few people that would spend days & nights taking care of everything that goes on in the Alliance. That spoiled the alliance and once those people got tired and took the rest it all started to fall apart.
HQ's were added, but not much has changed. CODE as an alliance wasn't the only one with that kind of a problems. Ireland had them too. We couldn't find active people to run the country. Many other countries has faced the same problems. When activity is the problem stupid mistakes happen. However, when the same mistakes happens for number of times, it's not easy to ignore them.
When Ireland entered CODE we've asked everyone to treat Northern Ireland as the Irish region, or Irish sphere of influence. Now, I know that might sounds stupid, or nationalistic, or whatever, but that's something that provides a motive for many of our citizens to keep playing this game. Everyone plays for something that keeps them here. For us, that's among other things Northern Ireland.
Our wishes to have the control over the region were always realistic. We'd always accept to give it away in order to help our former alliance in strategic plans. We'd offer it for TW's, we'd accept we can't have it all of the time. But what we can't accept is the constant ignorance of our wishes. We were almost never consulted about it and that's the real issue. I don't think that was on purpose, it's just that no one has really remembered to drop us a message. I'm not sure which one of those two would be worse to be honest.
Last time NI was given for a TW CODE signed a deal with UK that didn't include eIreland at all. Lack of the communication and activity by both sides has caused eIreland being out of the deal with its closest neighbour. That's when we were discussing our exit from CODE for the first time. That was before Rusty was a President and our reaction was attack on the UK, which was what we wanted. You can't expect a country not to have a single proper war and just do the airstrike when its needed. We needed something to keep us playing. We needed something to fight for. As a small country, we didn't have much choices. Attack happenned and it caused some TW plan of CODE members to change which caused many people within the alliance to start attacks and not so pleasant comments. It was when things really started to go down. Over the next few months we haven't really been very active in the alliance business. Some of the relations were really bad between the officials and it didn't seem like a home anymore. At least for us.
We had a vote about leaving, but it was stopped due to CODE's agreement to create a HQ. We've expected a lot from it, but it didn't really deliver much of an improvements in the communication or coordination. We've still been doing Airstrikes and coordinated strikes for our allies. Some of them turned out to be badly planned, but we still played along. However, when the same situation happenned again a new vote has been started. That was day before yesterday, you know how it ended.
As stated in the official CODE article alliance has a lot of problems. They've decided to work on the activity and especially on the communication. On the behalf of eIreland, we wish them good luck with that. Its very much needed and the game would be much better for everyone involved there. Sadly, as much as I'd like that to happen I don't see it coming. Hopefully, they'll prove me wrong.
It's not easy to leave the alliance that contains all of your friends in a game, but it's much harder to see your community being left without any motive to fight. Especially when nothing is appreciated. I saw some comments saying Ireland didn't contribute to CODE and that really made me sad. Ireland has been doing airstrikes whenever we were asked. We have never rejected a single request coming from the CODE officials. We offered our help numerous times and while we had a good & active air project we've been doing coordinated strikes to help our allies's efforts.
Things has changed, people has changed, but we never did. We've been seeing new countries coming to the alliance, new people getting on the decision making places, but things were always pretty much the same. We weren't allowed to fight as it would be unnecessary drain. The way we were told down wasn't really in a friendly way, just like many things weren't done in a friendly way. That it went on for over a year. We need a change to bring the activity back to our lines and that's what we'll be working on in the coming weeks.
I've also seen some comments and opinions coming from our community. Our plan was to leave silently and cause no problems, however, in situations like this one it seems a bit too much to expect. I'd like to deny some claims that we left due to Slovenia or China being here. Since they arrived nothing much changed when it comes to the problems we already had. They're the last ones to blame for taking Northern Ireland too. As stated above, it's the lack of communication. Also, newly elected SG of the Alliance was pointed us as someone to be blamed, but that's not true either. Furious Lady was just elected and I'm sure that regardless of our personal disagreements she will give her best for the Alliance. She had no role in our exit.
We've left due to inactivity, ignorance and mostly lack of the communication. Those three factors has caused more problems than anything else. I'd also like to point out that we didn't talk to anyone from the 'other side', it wouldn't be our style to change the side just like that. We can't ignore the fact that we have friends in CODE and if our decision will be respected we'll just improve those relations.
We are about to stabilize the country, organize our lines and try to give some new life to our community. We'd be happy if our friends would respect that. If that happenns, the respect will be equally given back, as always. Also, we'd like to wish all CODE members best of luck in the coming challenges. We've chosen different paths, but the friendship will surely prevail. We've been friends before CODE, we've been friends during CODE and if our decision will be respected we'll be friends after the CODE too. I'm calling on our citizens to refrain from bringing the 'dirty sheets' from the alliance as well. Respect needs to be given by the both sides.
For us, a new dawn is coming soon. Or a long & lonely night. Whatever happens we'll accept the consequences of our decisions and keep on fighting. As we always did.
Yours,
MUFC

Respect for Ireland. O7
I'll just repeat myself, for now:
We can ask two questions: Is leaving the "team" a solution? Can we once again find the will and desire for activity and victory? Time will answer the first question. We will answer the second question ourselves.
On the behalf of the CODE, we wish good luck to eIreland in the future and we hope they will find what they are looking for.
I'd answer you, but it would probably cause more mess than just leaving it to your final sentence.
I don't think it's possible3 to answer those 2 questions right now. Too early. Let's wait and see...
As SoFa of CODE and Mofa of Greece I wish the best of luck to our E-Ireland friends and hope to see them solve their problems and flourish once more
TOGETHER WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL.... My motto
EDEN motto. It was good when it lasted but we remember how the fairytale ended.
Some of your requests weren't heard because of bigger issues we had during the way.
Ireland was always true and loyal , accepted and fulfilled all requests of the alliance including here the deal we made with UK.
Brave Ireland when you leave , keep the CODE's sword as a sign of winning our gratitude.
If this is what it takes to shake up your community, you have mine full support. Hope you succeed in it. Good luck and make best of this.
Friends will stay friends, with alliance tag or without.
Hail Ireland
you pointed most acceptable reason and any alliance HQ Members should learn what did you said cause any nation have red Nationalistic lines that you cant ignored them like what we see at Ireland

Tiocfaidh ár lá 🍀
eIreland,
I wish you all the best, and to understand one day who is keeping you in the communication dark and uses as personal playground.

The best thing about leaving CODE is not having to read your idiotic messages o/
Don Egoata, I left eCro official chat, MNE chat, Code weather chat cos of you and your lies long time ago.
And just came to Code HQ chat, and must say the moment you went away from it was very dear to me 😉
(And I hear I'm not the only one there feeling like that hihihi)

Last time I made up nicknames was in kindergarden. Geez, grow up. I'd answer you, but I doubt it would help with anything, you're a lost cause.
it is a pleasure especially for us not to have to read you MUFC.
You never had to as I'm not particulary interested in talking to you.
buhahahaha looks like rabbit and kleenex are doing a good job
You write a good article,
"I'm calling on our citizens to refrain from bringing the 'dirty sheets' from the alliance as well. Respect needs to be given by the both sides."
Then kick off all this shit in the comments....
Oh this isnt alliance related.
Seriously, can you just stop running your mouth? All of the e-world is sick of hearing you. Just.shut.up.
Ethel,
To you I said what I meant in my PM.
You feel free to be rude to me, but this is last time I will answer to any of your provocations.
Ppl who know me, what and how I do, they respect me.
For you also I heard not such nice things, but refused to belive them, untill you proved me wrong on that.
Feel free to talk and write what ever you like. This only says about you, and what are you like 😉
I let my deeds to speak for myself 😉
Dear Rabbit... just shut.your.pie.hole. Please. And, Turkey is sick of you. Rabbit Respect? Less than zero. Your deeds (if any) are overshadowed by your mouth.
"For you also I heard not such nice things, but refused to belive them, untill you proved me wrong on that.
Feel free to talk and write what ever you like. This only says about you, and what are you like"
Rabbit told me the exact sentence a long time ago 😂
It's a pity Turkey didn't follow the Croatian example of not letting her anywhere near the top positions.
MUFC... you are so right. Sadly, Turkey did not pick her.

"It's a pity Turkey didn't follow the Croatian example of not letting her anywhere near the top positions."
You should crawl and kiss where she walks. Because she is worth a hundred times more than you are. And without her for a year there would have been nothing both in Croatia and elsewhere. So just keep quiet to not make an obscene figures in front of everyone.
 x2
Remember also to wash hand after. 😛
Will do. Sorry I insulted such a useful person nothing would exist without.
Very good article to explain irish side of the story. i support and respect the decision of irish ppl. i have many friends in eire and they will always remain my friends. i wish irish ppl much luck in their new venture o7
I think trying to be loyal to ones real life country and friends in this game can be a detriment and cause one to see things through rose colored glasses and make poor decisions. I didn't vote either way on leaving CODE but I know eIre has been used and abused by the alliance so I'm not sorry to leave. Our CP has my support in the matter.
Abused now also.... Wtf am. I reading
Have you not seen that poor people have been squeezed? Every evening millions and millions of damages for a year.
If that was the only problem in CODE, maybe much of it wouldn't trained or deleted, but when the priorities of CODE are ONLY Croatian and Turkish interests, while the rest of the members are at the back of the queue no wonders such things occur... CODE rarely acted as a unit, an alliance, as much as autonomy is admirable, it's should be applied for all the members, but when your alliance is one of the strongest poles in the game, you can't afford egos to jeopardize 80% of your chances of winning your wars... Maybe they'll learn, but I'm afraid it will be too late... The expected result is that the GR-CR-TR axis will push their other allies away further and further...
I think Code works really well within its own circles, the problem is when it comes to communities that are not into that thing. If in a country the players don't know anything about the alliance, and they don't even feel they need it that can be instable, especially if they get a bad impression about it. Ireland was like this and probably USA can be similar.
Blame MUFC for this.
Have you ever wanted to join some groups?
I don't want to join groups and since I deeply disagreed with what I have seen from the alliance in the last year I left all of the remaining related groups. I believe an alliance has to be understandable for players via the game interface, if it is not, and it is the case for the majority of the players in a certain country, than it doesn't really make sense to be in that alliance.
I admire your enthusiams about bringing activity to Ireland. I didn't want this outcome but maybe better this way, maybe I will be able to come back? Yet this game is still a wreck and I have no idea what to do here.
Let's just be totally different than others and reject the fact the game is made for the tanks? If we're going to be successful doing that we'll prove to ourselves we're right. Don't forget the true goal of every game is to have fun & not to be the strongest one 😉
When it comes to economy - Ireland has the world's best bonuses
When it comes to safety - We're among the safest countries in the world
When it comes to journalism - Our media activity is still the highest of the world.
We are winning this game, all we need is more people to celebrate it :3
I will always and forever stand with Ireland. A place of the best players, and the best people of anywhere in the e-world.
All Hail Ireland!
You will always be one of us o7
Good luck
I wish Ireland success
I can't comment on CODE issues because we have nothing in common.
But some of the things you said in the article are quite clear from the outside.
Unfortunately, the triangle of CODE of power sees only itself (greece, croatia, turkey), and the rest of the countries are like firewood in the fire of CODE.
I think you did the right thing
respectful ireland
This -> "We've been on the same side with Croatia and Albania since the game started for our country."
Excellent article Don

Ireland and Egypt got a historical friendship that last for years and we are pretty much same in so many ways.
Deeply understand your concerns.Deeply understand the needs of the alliance as well.
Is not easy.Never was and never will.It must be a balance on concerns and needs that works both ways but on this case it didn't work.
Wish you all the best.
Friends will be friends no matter alliances or Cps or Govs 🙂
