It has been an interesting week so far; Fireballs from space, the rise of new titans, rebirth of a phoenix, and the completion of a functional teleportation device.

Okay… None of that stuff really happened. At least none of it occurred in this universe, to my knowledge. Of course it should be mentioned that according to science that it is plausible that there are an infinite number of universes. And these potential universes could be different from others in any number of ways. From the laws of physics to the real life applications of we consider fantasy in ours. So somewhere out there, there really is a dragon chomping happily on a foolish mage that cast fireball at it. (Like seriously? Come on! It is a dragon, duh!) Sigh. A nerd and always believe anyway.

Oh yeah, the paper… So, uh. Hi! It is Trekker Tlumac bringing another round of the Fed paper to all Feds and friends.

State of the Fed

1) Applications for congress are up. Want to serve your country? Want to serve your party? Already have a Fed job or just want another way to serve? Apply for congress! It is a great way to get into the meta game aspects of eRep and a wonderful way to learn more about the eUSA government actually works! And of course we welcome back previously served congress critters to apply once more.

2) Well it is Party President Election time. Last week the PP primaries were taking place on the forums. There were two candidates and accepted their noms (Tyler Bubblar and Blondeninja). Both candidates put forth media (as linked to last week) through the forum to announce various points of their campaigns. The polling ran for three days and in the end Tyler came away with the official party nomination after winning with 57% of the votes.

3) Currently the actual Election underway. As of right now Tyler Bubblar leads in votes and is expected to win. By the time this paper comes out he should have already won and beginning to assume the role of PP. He is experienced in this role, having done it before. Chief goals listed for this next term include (but are not limited to): preparing the next generation of leadership within the party, recruiting new members and engaging those members already belonging to the Feds, and driving up activity within the party.

4) Evil_Elvis has been the PP for the last two terms. He has done a good job of leading the party over that time. He recently asked for feedback on the forum about what Proud and Horny means to the members of the party. He has posted an article that includes some of the heartfelt responses that help him outline his feelings about the party being the party president.

State of the country

Well this week has brought a couple things interesting on the home front.

1) There was a minor training war. During this war the eUSA captured Baja (originally part of eMexico) which is rich in saltpeter and gives us a production bonus. The eUSA has worked out a rental agreement with eMexico to keep Baja. eMexico and the eUSA have a MPP in place. This complicated things for the rental. In order to capture Baja and not violate that MPP, the eUSA could not attack eMexico directly. This was achieved by eDenmark first taking the territory from eMexico and then the eUSA conquered it from eDenmark. This allowed for the exchange of the rental without violating the MPP. It was prearranged and was executed fluidly.

2) CP WildOwl has continued promise to increase government media action. Many articles have continued to be published by various government organizations. The aim of most of these articles are to educate the populace and to update them on the daily goings on of the country.

3) With the Party Presidential elections at us, there has been much talk about the parties. And how they differ internally from each other. Mazzy Cat wrote an article about the differences between the parties. This focuses on the top 5 parties, as that is all she received a response from during the time before publication. Interesting read on the contrast between the parties.

4) In the past 7 days three MPPs have been reache😛 eSwitzerland, eItaly, and eBrazil. There is currently a vote going for signing a MPP with eCroatia. And the eUSA passed Natural Enemy legislation against eDenmark to assist us in the training war and acquisition of Baja.

State of my gold

State of my mind

It amazes me how far I have come in the past year as a player. Really in the past 10 months. The reality of it just hit me while looking at another citizen’s page. The idea is stifling to me. I was a D3 fighter that had no comprehension of what it meant to count clicks and only train, work, repeat. (To be fair, I only had my free training ground anyway. It was not like I was going to become powerful that way)

I blundered into D4 in march 2013 with 8K strength and have been measuring my success largely by that statistic alone. I have come up by 24K in those ten months to a respectable but still weak for D4 32K power. I have also advanced up in rank to GOW** and come up 27 levels to 64.

Of course this means using a lot of energy. It had become a routine for me to long in long enough to fill up my health bar and then log out until I can fight and refill it to fight more. One more level, another 5000 experience points to blow through. So routine that I completely forgot until just tonight that there is a time in the game that it does not take 5000 exp to level up. That only starts happening at level 27. For every 2 levels I go up, a new player can make it to level 27. This little factoid may not be spell binding to some, just kind of amazes me, in hindsight.

That is a lot of clicks over the past 10 months.

Also… For anyone with foreign friends or e😜ats that are still living abroad, now is the time to invite them home. We have peace and are starting to get bonuses again. Things are improving and we need more citizens. You can help them get back by referring them to the IES procedures as found on the eUSA forum and the application to receive citizenship.

Communication

Have a great idea about how to make the country a better place? Not sure where to turn? Contact a congressional member. Party should not matter. But the point is, make your voice heard. The country needs active citizens.
