Since I hope that most of my readers will be newer players, I will assume you don’t know who I am. Consequently I begin with a briefing on my qualifications to be advising you in these articles.

As of this writing I’ve been playing my Citizen for over 4 years.
I’ve built and managed one of the most successful personal economic empires in the game.
I’ve built and managed one of the most successful Military Units in the game.
I’ve successfully led three of the current top 5 Political Parties in eUSA (some with greater success than others).
I’ve succeeded in eUSA’s Executive Branch of Government as Vice President, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Media, Chairman of the National Security Council, Director of OMS, and in several slots as Deputy.
I’ve succeeded in eUSA’s Legislative Branch of Government as Congressman and as a member of the Select Committee on Intelligence.
I sit on the Economics Council and have been involved in many other meta-game activities.
And generally, I’ve nosed around the game about as much as anyone has for four years.

I’m experienced and current in my game.

What I will offer here are my general principles for successful playing. I hope that by reading you will become a more efficient Citizen. My goal is not to teach you what to click and when. I expect that you’ve already learned that, and if you haven’t, there are already excellent guides available to walk you through this. I only want to offer my advice on how to think through each click before you make it.

I have organized my information according to the following outline:

1 - Strength, Rank, and Experience

2 - Military Game Mechanics

3 - Inventory Management

4 - Economic Game Mechanics

5 - Game and MetaGame

6 - Public Image

7 - Political Game Mechanics

8 - Extras and Tools

9 - Monsters and Aliens

10 - Miscellaneous Advice

It is my hope that those of you who already know most of this will save the link to this guide and pass it along to any new players you encounter.

I plan to publish each portion of this guide separately. eRepublik only allows one article to be published per hour, so it will take me a day or so to get all of the articles pushed through. I hope you enjoy them. Part 1 will be coming in about an hour.
