Hello readers,

I appologize for the delay, my tests only ended today but now I have time to write. However, don't get the wrong idea, I wasn't inactive and I was present both in IRC and In-Game. It takes me a few hours to write articles so I did it as soon as I got the time and thus I hope you forgive me.



Switzerland’s Current State

Fellow citizens, we will not be having Congress during this month. I can only ask you to understand the current situation and also the state our alliance was left in a tournament that only favoured our enemies. I want to also congratulate my fellow countrymen who fought hard and were able to keep us in the sixth position, thus giving the country 5000G and a Q7 shield.

As mentioned above, the tournament favoured our enemies and our shield was easily broken even with CoT assistance. I'll let you know that Graubunden was a CoT priority but as you all know our enemies were stronger and were able to beat the shield while we slept.

Regardless of our victories or defeats, we did receive support from our allies and so I would like to thank Croatia who set us up as their CoTD in the first round, Italy and Netherlands who also helped us and, last but not least, our CoT allies which prioritized our battle.

MPP's (Mutual Protect Pacts)

We renewed our MPP's with countries of our alliance and signed two new MPP's, with Bulgaria and Macedonia that fought alongside us.



Treaty with Slovenia

Recently we discussed a treaty with the Slovenians, our president (Jason) released the document to population [Click here]

I would love to know if you are favorable to the treaty or not. Please fill out this form [Click here], regardless of whether you are for it or not, I'd love if you put observations, like: For which side is the treaty good ? Why is it bad?

Now it is time for the world news!

First, welcome Canada and France to CoT! It is a great honor to have them on our side!

Americas:

USA -> The United States received a NE Spanish in an attempt of TWO to take the U.S. Congress. After a successful battle in South Carolina, the Americans won against the Spanishs and assured once again Congress!

Mexico -> After a series of events that led the friendship between Mexico and Spain/Venezuela to weaken, the Mexicans took the initiative to defend the United States and declared war on Spain, conquering the Canary Islands. But at the request of TWO, Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela launched NE in Mexico. We may be weak, but not always damage is strength! We were smarter, CoT cut 2 of the NEs and closed the war Mexico-Spain, leaving the Spaniards with the victory in the Canary Islands. Now Mexico is facing only Venezuela, and can engage in only one battle.

Well done Mexico and CoT!

Chile/Peru -> Unfortunatly, two of CoT's current members (Chile and Peru) are having problems after Argentina NEd Peru. Peru mistakenly sent an MPP to Spain (TWO) but the Spanish Congress has rejected it.

Brazil -> Brazil is going through yet another scandal. For you know better must understand the country's intern conflicts between the CAT (Military Unit which supports some ex-EDEN countries) and a large part of the country that does not belong to the CAT and supports mainly Spain. After the start of the wars between Mexico/USA and Spain, the internal problems of Brazil was once again highlighted. The MPP between Brazil and the United States was not renewed, USA accused Brazil of treason of the Bromance. You can read the following articles to try to get a grasp of the situation:

Europe

Austria -> Was erased by Slovakia. Both countries belong to the same alliance (TWO), but Austria is under PTO threat and opted to have no Congress this month. Slovakia helped them achieve that.

War Romania-Germark -> In an attempt to destroy the Danish shield that has protected German territories, the Romanians declared war on Germark (Germany+Denmark). Remember that Denmark and Germany are unified to form one country, the German-Danish Confederation.

Russia -> In order for the Russians to retain Congress, USA had to release Far Eastern Russia because of the recent loss caused by Hungary in Northern Russia.

Slovenia -> After losing the French border, Slovenia attacked Croatia, which holds three regions in Italy.

France -> After becoming a trial member in CoT and also cutting their borders with Slovenia, France attacked Spain in order to help USA and Mexico. Currently they don't hold the initiative.

Asia + Oceania

South Korea -> Bad news coming from South Korea. After a referendum they've decided to leave CoT. It's been for months since the Koreans had Congress and after achieving a babyboom they were presented with the need of having a region and Congress to keep their babies active. I was particularly saddened by this decision, we must always remember that we are not the strongest alliance, and that the damage of our enemies is much higher than ours. CoT is not capable of defending all member countries. Unfortunately some battles become more important because we need to stabilize the stronger countries to send mass help for small countries like South Korea and Switzerland. When fighting becomes difficult, keep your faith, try diplomacy, it will always be the best way to solve problems.

Macedonia -> Days ago the Macedonians won two major battles against the Australians and New Zealanders, leaving both countries without congress and showing once again our strength. Congratulations Macedonia and CoT!

India/Croatia -> Last week, Bosnia was kicked from India and in responwe Croatia has attacked India and left them with no Congress this month.
