Greetings and Salutations, My Fellow Americans and Ajay:
There's been a lot of upheaval in the community lately. An Association of Independent Militias has totally turned the eUSA on its side. As a whole, the entire eUSA community seems to be polarized on one side or the other as it pertains to this new group. People either strongly oppose or vehemently support the new US-AIM. Questions and accusations about them fly around the community like gnats. Despite the anti-political stance of the group itself, some believe that political parties must leap into the fray and pick a side, causing even more polarity in a very unsteady New World. Some of the more vocal members the many groups that make-up US-AIM have even denounced any such support.
Welcome to Taking a Hit with Jude Connors... my new - hopefully regular interview segment of Feds... for Feds. My first guest...
Jude: Thanks for agreeing to the interview, Tiacha. You've been called the SEXIEST Fed... errr... OLDEST Fed. Can you tell me a little bit about your early days in the party?
Tia: Early days....hmmmm... We were a rag-tag bunch, who always stayed together no matter what. We had a lot of tenacity. You really can read more about it on the Fed History threads. Those first few are almost an autobiography about me. But really, I was the queen bee before FG. (Yes, I'm jealous she took my spot...jk). I was a coalition builder as well as a controversial figure all in one, sexy body.
Jude: I can see what you're talking about with the sexy sexy body.
So, what other ventures have you helped start off the ground?
Tia: Well, Right-con back in the day.. that eventually lead into ICCR. Both were independent multi-partisan organizations which strove to bring together parties in v1. Back then, the eUS was a much more partisan environment. These orgaizations helped recommend Congress critters by state. Back when it was a state wide competition.
I helped transition the Marine supply system into v2. It was a challenge because at the time, I was helping Jankems (then CJCS), basically QMG the entire Army (7 branches back then. There was Calvery, a lost relic.) during hectic hex tanking. I didn’t get to fight back then, just hectically pass out supplies. Let me tell you, that was a drain on me, both in time, patience, and the ability to make a cohesive strategy for what was the worst admin mistake of all time.
I helped start Shield off the ground, the new Fed MU. Come join us, we are pretty sweet.
Oh, and most importantly, I helped start the Feds off the ground. Shouldn’t forget to mention that I was a founding member.

Tia: Meeting so many new people all the time. Being part of the most active community in the game. Watching and observing how the Feds evolve over the years and how enthusiastic new players change the party.
Jude: Nice. Sooo... Any plans for the future?
Tia: -Spam text campaign in the Feds to get Jlo to un-quit the game.
-Making a clone of myself to send to Oblige so he gets less upset I left Special Forces for SHIELD.
-Making another clone for myself for the Marines too.
-Probably an actual PP run in the near future.
Jude: Awesome. I can't wait to see that last one, to be quite honest. And now, I only have one last question, Tiacha...

It's December 1st, are you on the naughty or nice list?
For those that have been around awhile, we know that the New World works in seasons. As we spin through the cyber reality that is eRepublik, we have become accustomed to playing the role of aggressor, then the role of defender, then the role of liberator, and again the role of aggressor. And just as the seasons change and the trees shed their leaves in the RL United States, so once again have the seasons changed in the eUSA.
And with the end of Hurricane season, we are beginning to see the end of the season on ONE occupation in the eUSA. As shown below, the eUSA, with the cooperation of its Terra/EDEN allies, has begun to look more and more like the eUSA we know and love.

We've basically been taking the fight to ONE and expelling Serbia, taking region after region, day after day. After being Serbed an ace mini after mini, Serbia was like a hippie after a bad hit of acid... Dazed and Confused.
Being the puppet-masters of the ONE Alliance, Serbia met with their Meathead allies and demanded more support in their the occupation of America.

WHAT IS CONGRESS?
According to the official wiki of the New World, Congress is the main legislative body of the nations of eRepublik so becoming a Congress member is one of important steps in every politician life.
It goes on to say that a Congress member has three primary duties:
• Voting on proposals proposed by the President.
• Propose laws
• Accept citizenship requests
Most countries have a slightly more advanced system where Congress Members can register at forums to discuss and decide on a lot more things than just sitting and voting on proposals.
And yes, the eUSA is one of those nations with an advanced system. That system is the Congress Forum of the USA Forums.
The Congress Forums are divided into three primary groups;
• General Forum - open entirely to the public
• Public Congressional Proceedings - public can view, not post
• Private Congressional Proceedings - Congress only
In addition, there are sub-forums for CBO (Congressional Budget Office) and the Library of Congress, which is a publicly-available history of Congressional proceedings.
Another resource available to public-viewing should be read by every aspiring Congressman:Congressional Orientation. Here, you can find guides and instruction for Congress members. There is even a place for new Congressmen to ask questions to incumbents.
Information leads to Knowledge. Knowledge leads to Success.
