30 shouts is way too many

I'm fully aware that most don't have as many friends as I do, but for those of us with a lot of friends, it's near-impossible to see everyone's shouts now.
There's been 50 shouts in the last 25 minutes on my home page. Back when it was 6-10 shouts a day, it would go back 6-8 hours or so to see 50 shouts, and back in the days when it was 3 shouts per day, I had no problem seeing everyone's shout, even with my monstrosity of a friends list.
Shouts used to be meaningful. They used to be a great way to communicate with your friends, to break news, give out relevant information or promote yourself. It was easy to see when a newb needed help or didn't understand something. It was easy to see what was going in the country and the world.
Now? It's much harder to do any of that, you can easily be drowned out by one citizen doing 30 shouts at once.
I ask that the number of shouts per day be lowered. Otherwise, what used to be a significant part of the game will be less important.

Agreed with Lig. The DoI used to try and use chain shouts to spread important information, and with only 6 or 3 shouts a day, it was effective. Now shouting is just pointless.
30 is way too many, but 3 is way too less.
It's getting crazy and it was bad enough before. Unfriending noisy people is going to be a hard thing to do.

personally I think 2-3 shouts a day would be enough, an the average day I, like most people, use none of my shouts, and I do not usually feel the need to use more than one.

I think 3 is enough, 6 at the VERY most. I only have 300 friends and my shouts are obnoxius, I can't imagine what it would be like to have 8,200.
ligtreb is a cranky old man and ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.
I guess they did away with Official and World shouts, and increased our friends shouts? What if a citizen has no friends? 30 shouts to no one!

Yeah, I would prefer extra storage over extra shout, but now it becomes a yelling contest to see who can get there shouts recognized. Time for creativity unless you happen to hit shout just as 10 other people hit shout.

I think shouts should be raised to 100.

I am talking about the spamming contests and the like with no real content at all. Overloading the system with nonsense spam is not freedom of speech, just rudeness.. . . 🙂

UNDERSTAND where you anti-shouters r coming from but... ever considered MY approach? Realize i can't get my spam out there, peeps can't understand why i deny requests, that and starting it late in game might wear out your clickers... but...
No i'm NOT unfriendly... try me in miliforum or irc (NOT in pm box, though... miss a lot of it)
