Today, I learned of a couple more small changes to The Game.

In case you haven't already heard, sources say Treasure Maps are gone. This is actually pretty good news. Extra clicking to claim your prize and multiple notification nuisances are being eliminated. (I imagine this will result in fewer support tickets for lost maps and lessen the never-ending complaints about the sad prize amounts.)
The bad news, leveling up will now only earn you 1 Gold. No worries though, achievements will garner 5 Gold. wonders: Will this lead to more competitive elections? One can always hope. This is no big deal to well-established players...but, what about the children?

SHOUT! SHOUT! LET IT ALL OUT

Ligtreb's response to the increased number of daily shouts nails it.

The majority of my time in eRep, I have focused my efforts on helping new citizens get through their first days. I distributed food for Meals on Wheels for seven consecutive heart-wrenching months (oh, the horror!) during a time when the Welcoming Committee and Meals on Wheels were typically the first points of contact new members had with the community. Along with food and a message with introductory information, each new citizen received a friend request. For many, their earliest shouts for help were their first means of connecting with the community.

Guvna Plato, if you're out there...and I know you are, I demand you correct this IMMEDIATELY.

In the greater scheme, these two changes are minor in comparison to some others we've endured so I'm not ready to ragequit just yet. It only further confirms my faith in Dioism because Admin (whether disguised as an obv senile old man or not) is indubitably a Natural Disaster.
