[PM] News from the Front - Serbian Campaign

Day 1,192, 10:49 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Jhorlin

As I explained in my previous articles, the Serbian region rental deal is now going through. We've seen the first couple of battles take place now. People will already be seeing a nice boost to their strength training, as well as 10% extra influence in the Serbia battles.

East Midlands has now gone through as a necessary stepping stone on the route to Yorkshire & Humberside. We'll be looking to take it back shortly, with Tom Morgan winning the Resistance Hero bid. When RWs crop up, I'll make it clear whether it's official or not (though you'll probably be able to tell!). We'll only be winning official ones, to encourage some more gold in to the country.

Congratulations to the various UK citizens who fought and got Battle Heroes!

So the next stage is the capture of Yorkshire & Humberside, in line with the rental agreement. They'll aim to win this battle and keep the region, though we'll claw a few minibattles to victory on it so that it doesn't mess up our congressional elections totally (and parties have a chance to *try* to elect their Y&H congressmen).

Fight hard, take the 10% influence bonus in the battle, and run for Battle Hero medals if you choose, but remember, we are trying to lose the fight on this one, so don't fight too hard. See you on the battlefield!

Obviously, losing regions is going to affect the congressional elections. I've made a detailled post on the forums, which can be found here, that details the expected effects of the campaign on the elections. I'd suggest that anyone who wants to run this month and all Party Presidents check the thread.

On that note, I'd like to wish the best of luck to all those preparing their campaigns, and to say thank you to Artela who has been working hard to prepare our anti-takeover precuations for this month, to block and vote out any foreign candidates who pose a risk to congress.

I suggest to everybody that now is a great time to join the Army. The Army is tailored to offer more food than wages are able to buy, and accordingly, gives a great deal to those who want to fight. More fights means more ranking up, more experience, and accordingly more levelling up. Not only that, but the Army offers a unique community, and puts a great deal of fun into the game.

The training war offers a chance to complete missions, gives a slight boost to strength training, and a 10% boost to all damage done in those battles. I encourage all citizens to take advantage of the war in order to make the most out of our time.

See you on the battlefield!
