✯ ✯ ✯ I Remember ✯ ✯ ✯
GloveisLove
I wanted love, I needed love.
When we were first wiped, and it was a calamity, that lasted a grueling 15 minutes. Some of the most painful 15 minutes ever endured by eAmerica. I remember who continued the fight, against overwhelming odds, against the whole might of ONE, in an era where all of TEDEN was wiped and only eAmerica was left to make a courageous yet unsuccessful last stand. I remember who continued to support us, despite overwhelming odds.
Following that fall, we endured a long but steady recovery. Eventually regaining all of our lost land and encompassing even more, eventually annexing the better parts of Indonesia and Mexico under the peak of my rule.
But then, things changed. The leadership got too progressive. Plots to destroy Eden and create a super alliance “CTRL” still haunted us. Partly due to Eden's influence on the American electorate and partly because of resentment. The plans were too ambitious, and the bridges were burned too hastily. Over the course of many months, against the will of much of the general populace, we enteted into talks with Spoland. Mind you, many of the same leaders of this archive were the very same leaders of then present day Spoland. Mind you, when USA left Terra that technically left us with the option of pursuing any foreign policy we wanted, and a lot of the leadership wanted some drastic changes, except it could not include Serbia or traditional enemies. Which to me, never made sense, because a lot of our allies would be associated with the former and latter. Ironically, instead of becoming more powerful as a nation & alliance, I would argue we actually became, weaker.
Our foreign policy shifts nerved our past allies, thus driving them towards the hands of the enemy. This is not to say this would not have happened regardless, as with all things in this game, there is nothing static, and brotherhood is but a cheap propaganda to plague the public of a farce sense of unity.
Having served as SC of Terra, and as PotUS three times, I can say with confidence that an alliance is only as strong as its propaganda. If people see weakness in their alliance, if they do not believe they are the best or can be the best, they will lose hope. When people lose hope, they seek alternatives, and when people seek alternatives, the fabric of the alliance hangs loosely.
I believed in solidarity with our allies, having even been awarded the Order of Canada for defending Canada from a rogue eAmerican state. Many many months later, we find ourselves allied with Canada once more.
I guess this poses a real question for us: Where do we go from here? For many months we have been told that we needed “Unity” elections because of the threat of a hostile take over by the AFA. Until this last month we finally saw “free” elections. But now we have no Congress. For months we have been told that there are attempts to strengthen CoT through better coordination and communication. But I don’t see it. I see that for weeks eUSA has been losing and gaining regions daily, only to find itself back to square one. I can’t put blame on any single person, because this is something that has resulted from months of poorly thought strategies and foreign affairs.
However, going back to the old ways is not an option. No matter how much you daydream about it. That would require an intense amount of public relations campaigning and an unheard amount of swag. But we need to be aware of our situation.
Just by glancing at the CoT alliance, the following is the state of CoT:
Germany- Ok
Switzerland - Wiped
Bulgaria - Wiped
Indonesia - Ok
Paraguay - Ok
USA - Only 2 Regions
Belgium - Only 1 Region
Japan - Only 1 Region
Moldavia - Only 1 Region
Peru - Ok
Mexico - Only 2 regions
Russia - Not in Original Lands
South Korea - Only 1 region
Chile - Ok
FYROM - Wiped
I do not want to put CoT in a inferior light, but these are facts. I understand that a lot of effort has been put forward towards making CoT a realization, but I truthfully cannot say I ever believed it would be successful. I hope I can be proved wrong, but so far I have not.
As an eAmerican citizen, I want to know what is being done about our situation. Or have you all admitted to defeat, and are content with knowing that we are in a perpetual cycle of gaining and losing regions?
I remember all the adversity this nation has faced.
I remember when America faced its first great invasion, and survived.
I remember the endless hours and planning we have spent to give hope to future generations.
I remember the great nation we once were.
And I do not want us to further crumble into decay.
I remember what it meant to be an, eAmerican.
I hope you all remember as well.
Signed,
Glove

oh yes.
Voted for Tyler Durden
funny, because theres not a single picture of tyler durden here.
fixed 😉
since you want to get technical, so will I. There are technically 2 picture's of Tyler Durden in this article. The first one is a very tiny picture of Glove's avatar in his screenshot. The Second, is the picture of the man sitting with his hands over his face. A screenshot from the film Fight Club, the character in the picture is Tyler Durden. Now you could say "that is Edward Norton" which would be correct, but it is also the character, Tyler Durden.
i was waiting for that,
technically, tyler durden is his own character, played by brad pitt, imagined by edward norton's character, with a separate personality and separate physical make-up. now, since only one person can distinguish a difference between tyler and the narrator, it is him who will decide what he looks like. neither of those picture's are an accurate representation.

Disproportionate damage ignored by a previously impeached PotUS.
Seems legit.
When I hell finds you, it will not be swift. Plus, Bravo on ignoring all his valid points and attacking his credibility. If we just listened to him from the start, eUsa would not be wiped right now. So go shove it and find a hole to cry in.
Yes, he enjoyed success. But I will happily attack the credibility of those who don't have any.
The issue is a huge disproportion in damage, other alliances options falling apart, and the fact that he was impeached.
The only good, lasting thing he did was giving Ajay the screw.
My feeling towards you are so negative that I can not quantify them. In essence you are attacking his presidency from nearly one year ago. Do you have nothing better to do. You should be promoting well written forethought and encouraging others to emulate this, instead you are being an asshat. What you are doing is wrong and misguided and I hope one day you learn the proper way to treat people and their effort. In the meantime people will come to disdain you, to dislike you and for good reason. Learn to have faith and to believe.
I believe in the sun, even though it is slow in rising. I believe in you, without realizing. I believe in rain, though there are no clouds in the sky. I believe in truth, even though people lie. I believe in peace, though sometimes I am violent. I believe in Dio Brando, even though he is silent.
I'd have taken a much different stance if, instead of just a list of grievances, he offered solutions.
Anyone can write up a list of grievances, it takes a truly great man to come up with solutions.
@Talostastic yeah he did that. It is called not holding foreign nations in contempt for eternity. It is called having an open mind. It is called being innovative. It is called building bridges and doing everything in our ability to produce an alliance that is good for America. Next time read the article.
The article recognizes the disproportionate damage. It suggests " this is something that has resulted from months of poorly thought strategies and foreign affairs." This seems a valid point. There is plenty of objective evidence to support that conclusion. The messenger's credibility isn't relevant: genetic fallacy. Ignoring a valid point because you don't like the messenger is an example of the very point he makes - poorly thinking.
CoT is performing as expected.
The respected leaders of USA have more allies than the short list of CoT'ers here.
Good to see you write bro.

Yes,
I do seem to recall those days of which you speak.

I would say TWO can be glad you weren't at the top of USA when the crisis erupted. And I speak this as someone who was very involved in the reforming of some things in the alliance. TWO HQ was incompetent or inactive (some were even set in unfair elections), CoT was even more hopeless.
Attitude is more than half the win.

That was an amazing read. And I feel that is an understatement. I joined the fight with our country already looking the way it does, so sadly, this is the only eUSA I know. I am not happy with it nor will I lay down. Through unity, proper planning, regaining congress and dedication I feel we can RISE UP and take our country back. Let the eUSA be the fire under the asses of the CoT!! We WILL be feared again!!

Happy to see someone remembers o7
Tem and his Canuck army will back up the USA when we're called upon again o7
Saw "Direct Democracy Now"
Remembered how well that went
Quit reading
Because the entire country voted on what war to fight. It was the most transparent government ever in eUsa History. So yeah it went great. People should strive to follow direct democracy and work towards more transparency while listening to the will of the people.
Geography has made us neighbors History has made us friends Economics has made us partners and necessity has made us allies Those whom God has so joined together let no man put asunder.
O voted although if this was written 15 month ago, it could have much more relevance than it has today.
The world changes and you cannot come back in time. The same ally that helped you recover your land no longer exists. They were hammered during many months and wiped up to the point they had to give up on their alliance. And the USA played a major role on the destruction of this alliance that had fought for you in such a critical moment of the eUSA history because the USA leaders and EDEN leaders no longer were happy with each other but without considering the consequences.
The mind of the leaders changes, sometimes too hastily, but they come back to the starting point as easily as they changed. But communities work differently. When they change they will stay that way unless there are strong forces changing them again. Most of the communities of your former allies no longer look at the USA as a friend, they look at USA as a country that joined forces with COT/TWO to assure they were wiped for five, six months in a row. These communities had to change to survive, countries like Canada are still trying to find a way to recover. Even if they fight together with the USA, because strategic positioning requires that, that does not mean they do not remember how the things went.
Hope we don't let you down.
WE DON'T NEED BOURGEOIS DEMOCRACY!
DIRECT DEMOCRACY NOW!

The summer term is over? xdxd
Why would anyone choose direct democracy over Juche is beyond me.
"FYROM - Wiped " - lol POTUS should now better.
I bet you have lost another ally. lol
Poland flamed fyrom for a month more than we did in one year... Also erep rules says that they follow UN nations names, check http://www.un.org/en/members/
Poland is not their ally. if you realy dont know how they react on using name FYROM you must be realysomeone who never read anything but US press
I mean eGreece, eUS didn't flamed them so much😛 And i know better than you how they react, that doesn't mean that he have to not respect erep rules and the official statement of ALL MUSEUMS in this world wich have our monuments.. Slavs appeared 1000 years after Macedonians why we have to speak about that, its a joke
Make sure you don't get involved and try to help. Just sit on the sidelines and throw mud like normal.
In all fairness IS, this is kinda what people do. Hell, Oblige did it for a while before he ran for CP. I can list off a lot of other people that did this as well to other CP's.
This actually sounds like an Oblige article when he was running for CP : "Remember when I saved us from being wiped that time that was nothing like this?". Yet another oldfag who thinks they can "save us".
This isn't intended to be a campaign article, this was intended to get some answers and provoke debate. My question remains: what is being done to improve our situation? I am not very active anymore, but I log in ocassionaly and everytime I do its the same, eUSA and its allies still wiped or near re-wipe. I was one of the most vocal against CoT, because based on potential allies alone I saw it wouldn't stand against ONE, let alone ONE + lots of Ex-Eden states. But it happened anyways, now I want to know what the plan is to strengthen CoT and or what is the alternative to it. I know I am not an saint, but my interests have always been for the greater of eUSA and its people. I would offer my assistance, but you guys always suspect me of having other motives (which sometimes I do, admittedly), and or you just don't want me around any position of power. And that is fine with me, but it is not fine to let this country stay in ruins. That is why I pose these questions.
Actually prior to and throughout when I was campaigning I was actively involved in the Paul Proteus admin (for the last 10 days or so) working with Colin and Frost to try to turn things around.
Help? He is helping. If the article ruffles feathers then it is doing what it is supposed to do. Mud-slinging, sometimes called political and social dissent, is the basis of change. I think some may have missed that day in grade 6 Social Science.
Oblige, my apologies if this article strikes a thorn in you, as its not really intended for you, you just so happen to be the current PotUS. I really think you have less to do with our current situation than a lot of the others, but alas you are the potUS so you are in the driver seat.
But the question remains, where are we headed? Israel and others think its cute to target my character rather than answer a question I think the public should know. I offered lots of evidence and sources for my critique. Furthermore, why were U.S soldiers fighting for Spain last night? Are they not in TWO? Do you think you can woo Spain? Didn't we try that already? I hope you don't fall for the tricks of the double-spaniards once more.
If you want to woo Spain, negotiate a NAP, that is the best you're ever going to do with their TWO-alliance structure for now. We need our troops defending CoT and the USA, not a TWO nation.
Our soldiers were in Spain last night because Spain had offered us some commune seats in good faith. As part of ongoing bridge building between the government and private MUs, I offered the seats to several private MUs that were well received. They are desperately needed presently, given our low bonuses and stuck, high, tax rate.
Unfortunately, despite being aware of this plan, some MUs chose to start a large RW campaign against Spain. We had to deploy to counter this influence for a round or two, and then moved back home. I would especially like to thank SEAL Team 6 and EZC for their assistance, and the eUS Military for not participating in the conflict.
I spoke with the Canadian CP (who would've adversely been impacted by this) but there were no hard feelings and he chose to focus instead on Canada's own RW - which they won.
Discussions with Spain are on going, and as I said in my campaign articles, I have some reform planned for CoT. I'm throwing up an article in a little bit which will touch on that, but I'm afraid I can't comment on military plans until they are in motion publicly.
Humph. I didn't get the Order of Canada. Damn Canadians...
- LETS DO THIS!
