This article will reveal my plans of investment within YOU the brit, the business manager, the fighter. You see as Country President its my job to keep you active. Keep you hungry and informed, keep you EQUIPPED to fight, engaged to make profit, Fed to live.
Many moons ago I was involved in the setup of the NHS alongside Appleby our current CP, Talon and various others. At the time the ‘NHS’ was government backed and run. It remained so for a considerable amount of time, until the economy collapsed. The cost of food was considered to much of a burden for our small country to handle. Thus it went private and has been successfully run mainly by donations and some bloody hard work (hat off guys), having supplied for almost 6months myself.. I know its a pain.
The NHS has proven to be a great success and has shown to improve retention. Infact I would stand here and argue that the NHS has become the biggest single success story of the eUK’s history. However the NHS only really caters for Food. The main problem we have within the UK is that we don’t have mass numbers to win wars. So how about supplying this small army better?
My investment plans therefore if elected Country President will be to:
1) Weapon Drops for NHS
We are about to wiped and its during these times when players get fed up they leave the game or worse we lose them to another country :3. To try and prevent this the best way I can I will be giving the NHS a weapons drop every Sunday (or major battle) and so that each citizen receiving NHS support will be supplied with a small pack of weapons to fight with. I believe we should be doing more to assist the NHS, yes its privately run and I don’t ever want to change that. But its the Governments role NOT to sit on piles of cash but to make best use of this to assist and boost our citizens. Giving these guys weapons is a cert, we can see they are active (monitored) and we know they are willing (applied for NHS in first place).
Invest in Training. Not cheap tans!
2) Training Ground Loans
TG loans have improved ‘slightly’ this month, you will be well aware that I have campaigned for a long time about upping our investment in you. See HERE and HERE.
If elected I WILL increased the loans handed out. Again history shows most people are faithful and pay back the amount loaned in full. Doing so qualifies them for the next loan needed and so on.
This month we loaned 137 gold according to our MoF reports.
The UK has 2000 gold sitting doing nothing. I want to increase TG loans if elected, meaning more people are given the support needed to improve their Q1 TG. Improving your TG’s will mean you earn 5 gold Super Strength quicker. So in reality we are becoming stronger as a nation (gaining more str) and improving the economy. Why help just 15 when we can help 100?!
3) Super Strikes
Says what it is on the tin, we all get together and meet on the IRC #MOD and strike in a battle. The royal Navy have done this for a long time and its proven successful for them why not for the nation? It will boost our activity with #MoD which is needed and make those who are unaware of IRC and our Military communication, aware. A win win in my eyes.
These investments are not overly expensive, and I’m sure if we really needed many older citizens would donate especially when our tax revenues are down (wiped). But these are just basics. Basics that would keep alot more people active and in the long run make the UK a stronger nation.

Imo the NHS Drops and the Strikes would be better tied together, Giving newbies weapons is all well and good but it does nothing more to guarantee their activity than the food already does... getting them on irc and giving extra tanks so they can hit while chatting with people is another step to getting them involved in the community more long term.
As for the TG Loans, It's all well and good saying you want to increase investment... but the issue isn't there isn't enough cash, it's that only so many people apply and the gold limit restricts how much can be sent in time for offers.
Also if any of the NHS Guys read this, could you give some basic NHS stats atm? How many are enlisted for instance.

Nothing wrong with the ideas here....but that's why they've all been said and done by dozens of CP candidates in the past (including BA).
There's nothing new here to move the country forward or make much of a difference to anything.

We dont have super strikes, we dont try and increase #Mod activity.
So we need to almost.. go back to basics.

I wasn't really around this month so don't know how the sales/loans went, but in the past the amount loaned has seemed more limited by applicants and gold limit than a willingness to spend money. Any Idea how much has been loaned in previous months? and any plans on how your gonna boost it this month?
MoF have done a good job this month.
Don't blame MoF not getting the message out there. They've been doing fine. The vote buyers are what is keeping the MoF articles out and stopping new players from potentially getting TG loans.
Also, your 137 gold statistic isn't really accurate anymore considering they're giving out more gold for training loans right now.

Probably do need to up on the uniqueness, as before you always did like to cause a stir for attention, might be worth going back to that attitude.
Training ground loans, nobody has ever done that before they've been available for ages. did 85 people apply for loans and get turned down? Not everyone wants to take on the long term commitment of a loan and be stuck having to play a game they're might get bored with just to pay it back. If the discount offer follows it's normal cycle then there probably won't be one in your term.

We haven't been wiped the alliance you dismiss as being dead and in particular Poland are once again helping us drive out an invading country. If you hold a referendum and remove us from Sirius without an alternative alliance to join we will be wiped either by our current enemies or the new ones you seem intent on creating.
The super strikes could be fun as long as they are managed properly and don't encourage people to waste damage by concentrating too much in too short a period just to get on a leader board.
I agree with all of the above. Other than the super strikes. The point of it is to generate IRC activity while creating excess damage that makes us giggle.
