Youth of the Nation

Day 2,103, 07:22 Published in USA USA by stephen s

Good Morning America,

For today’s article, I decided to hold an interview with a player who was fairly new to the game with only a year of playing under her belt. She’s a loyal eAmerican and loves helping out against killing Hungarians. Without further a due, I give you arith seneviratne (Profile: http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/6336093). Now, a few of you might ask: Wait a minute, this person has been playing a little bit over a year now and she’s still considered new? The answer is yes. From my studies and all of the other players Ive asked, it seems that it is still fairly difficult for new players to survive in the new world. With things like the current income rates, a new player is not able to make something for themself in our country. In order to keep your attention, Here’s the interview:

Now, Before we begin, Im letting you know that all of the answers except for the last one, have been edited by me for grammar and spelling in order to make them easier to read. The last question is about the language barrier that some new players face and that answer will be left unedited. All of this has been approved by Arith shown in this screenshot:

So here we go,

Q: How easy are you finding information that you need to do well in the game?

R: When I first started playing erepublik that was last year. I found that the military part of the game was the easiest and I picked up on it fast and within a few days, I leveled up in a very short amount of time and erepublik seemed to be easy enough to understand. As time went by, I got involved in politics and joined torrin’s party; sorry I cannot remember the party’s name since it was long ago anyways. I found that the fun part of politics is that we can socialize well by talking with party members. Then due to my studies, I stopped playing erepublik until after some time when I joined again. Anyways, finding information when you start seems to be easy if you study the wiki page on erepublik and ask questions to experienced players but even now when you join a party in erepublik, it is hard to get about your political career, however I recommend that the military is a good start and read the first step section in the media because it does have good tips for your future success in the game.

Q: What would you say is the most struggling part of the game for you?

R: The most struggling part of the game is when it comes to politics since this is the main responsibility of the game because it is hard to understand up to a certain extent, which is why I joined the feds and enlisted in recruitment and the media. I believe that even making articles for the newspaper in the game is kinda hard since it requires you to do extensive research and also be creative. My first article had a lot of spelling mistakes, which I did not see until experienced players pointed it out(Me). Anyways, I think this requires a lot of help from experienced players and dedication. Anyways, it is easy to catch up and its also fun to learn from experienced players 😃 The in-game mission completing is tiresome and a waste of gold, but at least the rewards are awesome.

Q: What is your favorite part or module in the game? (military, economics, politics)

R: As my answer states, it is the military and politics module. This is because you can level up easily and it’s a fun module in the game. Also, this module creates teamwork and unity a bit for socializing if you join a military unit. Politics in the game is fun when you join a party because you can meet new people and gather information easily which can make you friends and socialize more easily. As I stated, this the back bone of the game so its fun and important lol 😃.

Q: Now, you mentioned to me that you're a real life citizen of Sri Lanka... Has there been any significant sort of language barrier for you in the eUSA compared to that of what you might find in other eCountries??

R: To be honest I can speak English fluently but I do have spelling difficulty and I can read English so do not have a language barrier in eUSA but when you compare to other eCountries I can understand Russian and a little bit of Indonesian also known as Malay. So fit in eRussia as well but I join USA it is because I want be with English speaking players and I love USA in real life those are the reasons.

Alright, so Id like to once again thank Arith for the interview before we go into our small discussion. And thank you to those who have read through the entire thing and I know this one is quit long and it wont happen again I promise.

So from what Ive gathered from this interview, is that WE as seasoned citizens of the eUS need to create more precise programs in mentoring our youth. We need to get each of the predominant Top 5 parties to have and support a mentoring program such as the AMP’s program, where they assign a mentor to teach the player the ways of being a congressman and what a person needs to know in order to be effective in his/her position. The problem Ive found though through personal experience, is that even after requesting a mentor(Yes, Im a little rusty with politics and I hope to become a congressman once more), I never received an actual mentor to help me. We also need to focus on making all of this information easier to access, and maybe we can create a thread on the eUSA Forums that contains tons of important links for finding information. If a thread like this already exists, leave a link in the comment section because Ive been unable to find it.

I’d like to thank you all for reading once again and there will be more articles concerning the eUSA and her allies and what we need to do to become better. Please make sure you leave a comment( I love the feedback), Vote, Subscribe, and Shout so we can make this information stick out to others.

And now a word from our Sponsors who have been great in acknowledging my articles:
