Department Update: Education
Press Corp Staff Writer Dinnyin, with SoE emdoublegee

The Department of Education's mission is to educate new AND old players alike. With programs like The American University new players are placed with older players in a mentoring program where the new players compete for cash and prizes (food/weapons).

DoE is currently working on an article series that explains the concept of Political Parties and has feature articles outlining the Top 5 parties and how they operate in the eUSA. The basis behind this series is to inform new players of the history between the parties and to dispel the false statements of certain "Freedom Fighters."

emdoublegee got involved in politics early on in his elife and recommends to any player looking to get involved that they start at the Political Party level first, this will allow them to get a more focused introduction to the area they're interested in before taking on the much broader requirements of the National offices. Also, a good place to start is to get in contact with the cabinet member who heads up the department you'd like to work in. In most cases, they're always open to having more help.

Our hats go off to the Department of Education and all of emdoublegee's staff. This department often goes unnoticed as Education often gets overshadowed by War, Interior Programs, finance, etc. But our SoE has a pretty good lesson for all of us, "Everyone says this is just a game and that is true. However this game is meant to model real life in some ways. With that, loyalty is a big factor for me. Find a group with your values, and stick to it. Find something you enjoy doing and make this country better! For me that was, and is, the DoE."
