War options for New Zealand

Hi KIWIS o/
First of all, in real life I am from Serbia,so I am not familiar with your relations with Australia and Chile. But in game I have NZ citizenship and I am in congres and
I fight for
NZ and allies, not for Serbia and allies, remember that.
So, like the title says... what are our options to gain more resources?
On our homepage there is 'country status' and it says:
Currently New Zealand is at war with Argentina and Chile. We're fighting to become a superpower.
In few hours we will lose resistance war in Patagonia and we will have no border with Argentina,and because of that our war against them will be closed.
But still we have open war with Chile!
Chile has 5 regions from north to south
Norte Grande (saltpeter)
NorteChico (iron)
Zona Central (deer)
Zona Sur (fish)
Zona Austral (fish)
Nz already have iron and deer,we need fish and saltpeter.
Here you can see influence made by all countries but only before 12th of may 2011 due to new changes.

there you can see that New Zealand is more powerful than Chile.
and now since New Zealand is very close to ONE alliance (which kick ass now 😃
) we will have support. One thing that can destroy our attack to chile is Argentina. I think that they wil be pissed and they will not tolerate New Zealand near their borders.
About Australia...
Australia is mostly occupied by Indonesia... they have 4 regions remaining
New South Wales(cattle)
Queensland(rubber)
Northen Territory(saltpeter)
Tasmania (cattle)
New Zealand needs all these resources.
And there i see no problems... Same as with Chile we will have support of ONE. And about strength: Australia is not so strong now due to long occupation.
Conclusion:
With one of this two wars we can gain new resources and boost our economy.
couse we deserve that!

Well, I spent a year in eAussie before eNZ came along & watched as they took beating after beating from Indonesia so I just couldn't attack them. But maybe it's the right thing for eNZ.

There are many other strategical variables to consider in whether we have the numbers and resources to win a war and keep up the maintenance of resistance wars, and we'd be better of discussing it on IRC due to its length, but I do agree with your notion that we should be directing our attention to winnable wars. There are other options that may become apparent to us, and with an easy MPP defence against Argentina, we will easily be keeping this almost as a training war. Have fun guys 😉
I do support exploring aggressive military action when it can directly benefit eNZ in a significant way.

Well there are multiple options before we go to war.
One is that we try to turn them from there alliance into ONE
Two is that we persuade Indonesia to liberate eAussie
Three is to do nothing and watch it all unfold
Four is we start a war with Australia
one is boring
three is not an option
four is best option if you ask me.
i know that they are strong,but we have support. Indonesia is defending Argentina. If we attack Australia we will have common enemy
I think the war with eChile could be won by us but will put into a potentially drawn out war with eArgentina that we likely could not sustain in the long run.
Australia is a different beast and we could potentially take it on but we would need to coordinate that with eIndonesia before we make any major move. Also, need to factor in that the Aussis are likely not high on ONE's priority list

yea im gonna go out on a limb here and say that some of these wars have just turned out to be long stale-mates. IF the erepublik management really wants to spice it up, they could make this like Call of Duty, or something close to that

@ d00sta : Since NZ started in eRep we had few times TW with Australia (sometimes very dirty) and when Indonesia (one of our allies) conquered Australia we were aside of this war. Australia is our neighbor but we avoid to fight against them. We helped Indonesia in others wars.
In war vs Argentina, "our ally" Indonesia fight against us ?!?!?!? Our position on the map I describe like "ass of the world" and we have just two options to expand our territory - Left or Right. Next CP will be in hard position to realize plan for new resources.
Attack on Australia mean building long term enemy and we don't need that. "Solution Chile" without hard support ONE and allies can be uncertain.
Chile will be problem because of Argentina... I even think that in future Argentina will attack NZ.
We must do something,we will get bored 😃
