Altough at first look the tittle look ridiculous, I think that I can tell You reality of eRepublik. v1 for years, v2 for months ... beta, gamma and delta derivates that lately turn faster than the seasons.


And everything started with this setntence:

Team with good idea, at the right time at the right place and for only 200 000 dollars they develop game that in just one day achieved a planetary success. Two hundred ePlayers, 300 000 ... over 500 000 of them in one moment. Twenty well-coordinated players, game hustlers who know the game in the smallest detail. Twenty characters who each zero and unit carry in their hands.





Smell of money

Unfortunately Gold ( read Dollar ) like a sacred cow turns everything ...

The company recapitalizes with two milion dollars. They employ dozens of new staff, opening offices around the world ( Spain, USA... ) New people, new ideas and we come to...

Perfectly elaborated game, a phenomenal economic module, improved graphics, more players than ever ( ok there was problems but looking now it was all ridiculously insignificant ) ... and then ... PUFFF. Like a soap-bubble broke up the dreams of hunting at night.Hundreds of thousands players went away ( i do not want to enter in analysis of real players and artificial intelligence ).





And what the *uck is the problem then ?!





V2 1/2, V1 1/4... V3/4... i cannot even remember the name


After the disappointments and releasing dosens of employes, close affiliates. The company remains on a “reasonable” number of people backed by “moderators” who want to save the game. Each of them becomes responsible for certain segments of the game ... each of them with their plans and dreams. OK, it is not bad designed but why then the game sinks deeper and deeper every day ?





Each company, and eRepublik is not exception must have bussines plan. Short-term plan, medium-term plan and long-term plan. I dont want to engage in scribbling about all of them so i will just mention that people mentioned do not have that plans. Everything what is done is only adjust to daily breathing and extingushing local fires with inventing hot water ( p.s. as far as i know hot water already exist 😛 ).


Who is the firefighter ?


Poor “Plato” who obviously is not equal to the game and does not understand the point of the game along with several associates. Special story are group of moderators who are there only for a few RL dollars and their job is to say yes and supporting every idea from above so they dont lose income. Is this team capable to draw something more from the game?





I do not want to linger

... become a soldier, businessman or politician, create you eWorld in just a few clicks ...

Well does the team needs to draw it to you? Do you need an explanation why V2 failed ?... This game in mass of the same or similiar virtual words got up just because of that. Several hours or few minutes but the result and ratio of strenght remains in fairly equal proportions.






28 logins per day? 100 well ? 500,600 well ? Are you crazy ?


How many ePsychos is going to follow this ? How long will they suffer that years forming account destroy in a month because there is a lumen who thought somenthing new.
