Join the new world

It has been a nice time off…I have wandered around reading articles and participating in events, I got to fight some more without the stress of dealing with Congressional duties. Many of you have seen me hanging out and said “Hey” which is cool, and I got the opportunity to comment on some posts unfettered by the standard decorum I try to display…good times….

And it really all culminates tonight, when I get the thrill of voting in my fourth presidential election. Its quite cool really. The best part is that I get to vote for scrabman and PrincessMedyPi, two of my favorite players in the game.

And there, is the point of my article…why am I voting for scrabman and PrincessMedyPi?

Well, there is the party thing, though it has not stopped me from voting on candidates from other parties before or at least encouraging them in the comments if they were cool; but I will be the first to admit it, I really enjoy being part of the USWP, not because it is the biggest and not because I have a voice in the forums…but because I genuinely like the other players that have chosen to call the USWP home.

Then scrabman offered PrincessMedyPi the opportunity to be Vice President…for those of you who only know PrincessMedyPi from her articles in “A Timely Bitch” or her positive posts throughout the forums…I still remember the night that the Federal Reserve was “liberated” by Franco, I saw a different side of the Princess, the no-nonsense, effective leader in a crisis.

Then there is scrabman. I have known scrabman for several months and I can say, with certainty, that he is the glue that holds the forums together. I am unsure that another player has put more time and effort into the eUS Forums than scrab. He knows them inside and out, he is involved in every public thread and, what’s more, his knowledge of game mechanics has few peers

While those elements alone would be more than enough for me to support him, what truly compelled me to campaign as hard as I have for him is that he has a plan…and it is a great one.

Frequent war…strategically planned…with victory as its goal…

A federal budget…and a balanced budget…so simple that it makes you wonder why no one has ever thought of it before?

Citizen engagement…what greater benefit is there to the companies than to have their workers coming on every day to participate in the forums and while there at it work?

A revenue plan (tax plan) that is economically sound and actually acknowledges game mechanics as more important in the game than RL bias for the success of the eUS economy.

A pragmatic, rather than polarizing, approach to our allies in ATLANTIS…if it doesn’t benefit us we leave, if what is broken can be fixed, we stay…throughout all we honor our commitments, but never ask permission to extend our power…

My thought in all of this being as I watch my wellness fade…if scrabman and PrincessMedyPi are elected…man I am seriously going to have to start working again and buy some food or something, because this game is gonna get a whole lot more fun from the first day they are in office on Friday…
And if they aren’t elected…well, things are just gonna stay the same…scrabman and MedyPi are the only agents of positive change in this election…and they have earned my vote.

And eUSA, they have earned yours too...
