WA: At what price?
TheBlackAdder
By now everyone would have read this and formed their own opinion on it; and there are a lot of articles out there right now on whether or not it was the right decision.
Before I get called a PEACE traitor, Indo loving coward, like srg unfortuanatly was, I'll tell you where I stand on the PEACE EDEN issue.
With news of Indo's plans to attack Sol nations my opinion of whether or not negotiations were the way to go shifted. With the 'facts' presented to us a few days ago as a senator I voted yes to joining EDEN. Of course the choices presented to us at the time were very limite😛
Senators were led to believe that EDENs attack on WA was unsolicited and that as per the Indo agreement (although void we should still have honor) the government did not support the RW. After the RW and after all decisions were made, the choice to support the RW was announched in a senate meeting. After all decisions were made my the executive government (largly unelected) the senate was backed into a corner with limited decision. AFTER the RW which Patti had solicited the senate was given the choice to efectively join EDEN or stay "neutral" (although impossible after the RW)
The decietful work of the Patti administration did in fact regain WA, but at what price?
The senate was bypassed, reserves used contrary to the law and most importantly, our legitimacy as a nation comprimised. For who are we if we cant be trusted.
And after all this, Patti writes an article boasting about all his lies and how it won back WA?
I for one would rather not have WA back yet and do it the right way when the time came.
And no, the right way isnt necessarily PEACE, its doing it while maintaining our integrity and honor. I would be all for joining EDEN if we voted for it, and did it openly and fairly. Not being backed into a corner by a pm acting on his own accord.
Due to pattis actions, namely illegal use of reserves and blatant lieing in foreign affairs I will be proposing impeachment. I doubt it will pass and due to the date will be of no concequence even if it did, otherwise I might not do it. But because of the date I feel it is a good way to show my disaproval of the patti administrations actions. However due to the 7 day since last impeachment proposal rule I cannot.

must admit i did feel the same..
Take off the rose colored glasses and maybe you'll notice that alot of feints, shaddy politics and questionable moves take place all over the eWorld. Your an underdog and your PM has saved you guys months of negotiation and can now take your country in a new direction now.
I would say something but it would undermind your hard work black adder.
In short, Good luck.
"Senators were led to believe that EDENs attack on WA was unsolicited and that as per the Indo agreement (although void we should still have honor) the government did not support the RW. Now we know this to be fasle. In fact the Patti administration had mislead the senate into voting to join EDEN."
From the Senate meeting, 2 hours after the RW:
@patti11: i talked with srg91, hekter, shoot, and all the relevement people
@patti11:and i evenetually decided we had to go for the RW
@patti11: heres why
I then go on to explain the planned offensive in Malaysia that Indonesia had proposed and the fact that they could only be defended if we had outside help in the form of EDEN. I even told you Forward had no plan to attack Australia. The options were Just MPP with USA, MPP with the Romania and Spain or Stick with Indonesia. The vote for the second option was almost unanimous.
There is no excuse if you wern't at the meeting, I posted the logs on the forums at the voting booth.
This is a pretty pitiful attempt to defame me TBA
Sorry patti, missed that one line in the senate meeting
Ill edit the artice to reflect that.
YAWNMAXX, when are you guys gonna get over it, patti did the right thing for the country to move forward.
I feel the end justified the means.
once people with an Usa Leader as a Dp stop posting on Media
I would comment either way, but I don't believe it would help with all the apparent trolling on either side of the eAus media.
I suggest people do the same.
"you are an underdog" ..wow..that's harsh
